B6525 DODDINGTON TO BARMOOR, BERWICK UPON TWEED
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to introduce a road closure and speed restriction on the B6525 Doddington to Barmoor Berwick upon Tweed in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st January 2024 until the 1st July 2024.
Road Closure:-
A road closure will be introduced on the B6525 Doddington To Barmoor Berwick-upon-Tweed from its junction with the U1051 heading in a northerly direction for a length of 3000 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6525, B6353, B6354, A697 and vice-versa.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 5th February 2024 until the 9th February 2024 between the hours of 08:00 hours and 16:00 hours during this period.
Speed Restriction:
A speed restriction will further be introduced restricting the speed of all vehicular traffic from 60mph down to 40mph on the B6525 Doddington To Barmoor Berwick-upon-Tweed from its junction with the U1051 heading in a northerly direction for a length of 3000 metres in the County of Northumberland.
It is expected that the speed restriction will be in force from the 5th February 2024 until the 9th February 2024 between the hours of 16:00 until 08:00.

The road closure and speed restriction have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order .
