C142 Netherwitton Junction - Temporary Road Closure

C142 NETHERWITTON JUNCTION
TO SOUTHWARD EDGE JUNCTION NETHERWITTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C142 Netherwitton Junction to Southward Edge Junction Netherwitton from its junction with the C141 heading south west for a length of 1580 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 15th January 2024 until the 15th July 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 15th January 2024 until 17th January 2024 and then again from 4th March 2024 until 15th March 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 15th July 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C141, C136, A697, A1, 197, C144, C142 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for coring, civils and resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
