What is happening?

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2023 Church Road, Bexleyheath Notice of Intention

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Main Replacement Works they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

* No Waiting No Loading restriction from junction Fairfield Road to junction Percy Road. All closures will be outside peak hours.

* Prohibition of traffic junction Fairfield Road to junction Percy Road both sides

2. The Order will come into effect on 8 January 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 8 Weeks.

3. Whilst the works are in progress local diversions will be in place and signposted, when required.

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Northend Road/Thames Road Roundabout, Erith - Notice of Intention

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable cable and grid connection works by, Riverside Energy Park Ltd they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

* Speed Limit reduction on Northend Road from 40 to 30 mph Crayford and Erith bound.

* Banned Right Turn from roundabout to Northend Road

* Banned Right Turn to Thames Road from Wyatt Road, Perry Street and Parkside Avenue

2. The Order will come into effect on 8 Jan 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However the works are expected to be completed within 14 Days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress an alternative route will be provided via,

* Erith bound traffic.

Northend Road - roundabout junction of South Road - Northend Road

* Crayford and Erith bound traffic,

Thames Road - roundabout junction of Howbury Lane and Thames Road - Thames Road

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
