What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
East Hendred, Featherbed Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 02/01/2024 Coming into force: 11/01/2024 This Order is being introduced because of underground cabling works which are anticipated to be completed 20 January 2024. Works will operate between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Featherbed Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A4130, A417, Featherbed Lane and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12795/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Faringdon, Coach Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 08/01/2024 Coming into force: 15/01/2024 This Order is being introduced because of new connection and major network upgrades works which are anticipated to be completed 21 January 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Coach Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via London Road, Market Place, Church Street. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12840/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Benson, Hale Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 02/01/2024 Coming into force: 08/01/2024 This Order is being introduced because of essential gas works which are anticipated to be completed 16 February 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Hale Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the B4009, Sands Way, Hale Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12961/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Tiddington, Ickford Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 08/01/2024 Coming into force: 16/01/2024 This Order is being introduced because of water mains renewals and associated works which are anticipated to be completed 2 February 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Ickford Road north of its junction with the A418 Oxford Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A418, Mill Road, Ickford Road, Unnamed towards Sheldon Road, Sheldon Road, Bridge Road, Ickford Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12801/AC)

Drayton St Leonard, High Street, OX10 7BA Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 18/12/2023 Coming into force: 08/01/2024 This Order is being introduced because of foul drain connection works to the new development of 5 houses at Drayton Manor Farm which are anticipated to take 12 days to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the section of High Street at OX10 7BA. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the Water Lane - Church Lane and vice-versa.

Horspath, Spring Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 18/12/2023 Coming into force: 08/01/2024 This Order is being introduced because of fibre optic cables installation which is anticipated to take 12 days to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the section of Spring Lane outside No.2 to the junction of Blenheim Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the Manor Farm Road - The Green -Church Road - Blenheim Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12675/MR)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Sonning Common, Stoke Row Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 18/12/2023 Coming into force: 08/01/2024 This Order is being introduced because of sewer repairs which are anticipated to take 12 days to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the section of Stoke Row Road near No.17 RG9 5EJ. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the Gallowstree Rd - Horsepond Rd - Readers Lane - Kennylands Rd - Peppard Rd and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12740/MR)
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) & (2) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Shiplake, Footpath No.7 (Grid Ref: SU77947873) Date of Order: 11/12/2023 Coming into force: 21/12/2023. This Order is continuing in force an emergency closure by Notice on 10 November 2023, introduced because the surface of the footpath has collapsed creating a sinkhole requiring repair, which is anticipated to be completed by June 2024.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath No.7 north side of the river west of the rail bridge. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed via locally via Mill Lane. (Ref: T13026/MR)

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (DRAYTON, ABINGDON) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that on 18th December 2023 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order, which comes into force on 23 December introduces a 20mph speed limit throughout Drayton (Abingdon) replacing the majority of the previous 30mph speed limits in their entirety-leading outwards to the following points:
1. B4017 Abingdon Road - a point 5 metres northwest of its junction with Newman Lane,
2. B4016 Drayton Road - a point 220 metres east of its junction with Chiers Drive,
3. B4017 Steventon Road - a point 30 metres southwest of its junction with Kiln Lane,
4. Haywards Road - its junction with the B4017 Steventon Road,
5. Lockway - its junction with the B4017 Steventon Road,
6. Sutton Wick Lane - its junction with the B4017 Drayton Road.
The Cabinet Member for Highway Management approved the 20mph scheme as originally proposed, but also to retain lengths of existing 30mph speed limit on the B4017 Drayton/Steventon Road at the northern & southern ends of the village.
