What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

SECTION 14

(HOLLIN LANE, CRIGGLESTONE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 288) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hollin Lane, Crigglestone at the junction of High Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hollin Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Diversion 1 – Hollin Lane, Cliff Road, Blacker Lane, Denby Dale Road, Hollin Lane & vice versa.

Diversion 2 – High Street, Bull Lane, Fishpond

Lane, Fairbrook Road, Church Lane, Stoney Lane,

Bolton Wife Hill, Intake Lane, Woolley Edge Lane,

Woolley Low Moor Lane, Dennington Lane, Cliff Road, Blacker Lane, Denby Dale Road, Hollin Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th December 2023 to 30th December 2023 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(MANOR ROAD, OSSETT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 5) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for replacing manhole cover & frame to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Manor Road, Ossett opposite number 92 The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Manor Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Manor Road, Station Road, Queens Drive, Teall Street, Manor Road and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th January 2024 19.00 hours to 21.30 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CLIFTON AVENUE, STANLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 6) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for replacing manhole cover & frame to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Clifton Avenue, Stanley outside number 27. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Clifton Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, access maintained where possible.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 

9th January 2024 09.30 hours to 15.00 hours,  or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(LOW LANE, MIDDLESTOWN)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 7) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for replacing manhole cover & frame to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Low Lane, Middlestown near the junction with New Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Low Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: New Road, Cross Street, Sandy Lane, Low Lane and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including  10th January 2024 19.00 hours to 21.30 hours,  or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(KING STREET, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 11) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: King Street, Wakefield  for approximately 9 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of King Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Cliff Parade, Drury Lane, Westgate & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th January 2024 to 12th January 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(MAJOR STREET, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 12) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new water connection to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Major Street, Wakefield outside number 22. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Major Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, road plate available to enable access.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th January 2024 to 11th January 2024, 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
