Temporary 20mph Speed Limit Order 2024
On 11 December 2023 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, to cause or permit any vehicle to drive at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour on the lengths of roads detailed below:-
Cairns Primary School and St. Cadoc’s Primary School Fernbank Avenue, Cambuslang, both directions - full length, a distance of 57 metres or thereby. Ivybank Avenue, Cambuslang, both directions - full length, a distance of 143 metres or thereby.
Woodland Crescent, Cambuslang, both directions – from a point 38 metres north-west of the extended north-west kerbline of Trinity Drive, north-westwards to a point 16 metres south-east of the extended south-east kerblne of Hollybank Place, a distance of 454 metres or thereby.
Hallside Primary School and Park View Primary School Mill Road, Cambuslang, both directions – from the extended north-east kerbline of Overton Road, northeastwards for a distance of 88 metres or thereby.
New Road, Cambuslang, both directions – from the extended south kerbline of Overton Road, southwards for a distance of 84 metres or thereby.

This Order has been made because of the likelihood of danger to the public, i.e. for reasons of road safety.
The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on 5 February 2024 and will remain in operation until 2400 hours on 5 August 2025.
