Junction Road (D2839) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in
that length of Junction Road (D2839) Dorking which extends from its junction
with West Street (A25) to its junction with South Street (A25). Alternative Route
– Junction Road (D2839), South Street (A25), Vincent Lane (A25) and West
Street (A25).
The Order is required to allow ALS Civil to carry out electrical works which is
anticipated to be completed within 10 months 14 days, between 8:00am and
6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will
commence on 10 January 2024. However, the closure is anticipated to be in place
for 24 hours per day. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the
temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for
emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained with in the closure.
Logmore Lane (D288) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that
length of Logmore Lane (D288) Dorking which extends from northern property
boundary line of “Florent Farm” to southern property boundary line of “Logmore
Place”.Alternative Route – North-western side closure – Logmore Lane (D288),
Westcott Heath (D288), Guildford Road (A25), Westcott Road (A25), West Street
(A25), South Street (A25), Falkland Road (D2822) and Coldharbour Lane (D289).
From Southeastern side closure – Coldharbour Lane (D289), Falkland Road
(D2822), Vincent Lane (A25), Westcott Road (A25), Guildford Road (A25), Westcott
Heath (D288) and Logmore Lane (D288).
The Order is required to allow Sunbelt rentals to carry out new customer
connections which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8:00am
and 5:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will
commence on 15 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed,
and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs
are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all
times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained with in
the closure.
Tandridge Lane (C83) Lingfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that
length of Tandridge Lane (C83) Lingfield as extends from its junction with the
access to the property known as “Lagham Lodge Farm” southwards for a distance
of approximately 60 metres. Alternative Route – Crowhurst Lane End; Crowhurst
Lane; Crowhurst Village Road; Haxted Road; Lingfield Common Road; Ray Lane;
and Tandridge Lane. The Order is required to allow new mains electrical
connection works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks within
the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be
carried out as soon as possible over 4 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm
within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences
on 02 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary
closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate
when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency
services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Roffes Lane (D1424) Chaldon
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that
length of Roffes Lane (D1424) Chaldon as extends from its junction with (B2031)
Rook Lane and (B2031) Chaldon Road south-eastwards for a distance of
30 metres. Alternative Route – Rook Lane; Chaldon Common Road; Heathway;
and Roffes Lane or this same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow gas
infrastructure replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried
out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice. These
works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 2 days between
the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the
Temporary Order that commences on 02 January 2024. Advanced warning signs
will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in
operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are
displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the
works area and all traffic including residents and the emergency services will be
required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by
this closure.
Various Roads in Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, the effect of which will be: – (a) to temporarily prohibit vehicles from
entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this
Notice; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council B2208 Croydon Road,
Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that
length of road specified in part (b) of the Schedule to this Notice. The Order is
required to allow drainage improvement works and/or any other associated works
to be carried out by, or on behalf of Walker Construction (UK) Ltd within the length
of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as
soon as possible over 10 months within the 12-month period of operation of the
Temporary Order that commences on 04 January 2024. Advanced warning signs
will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in
operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are
displayed. Access for residents with properties within the closure areas,
pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other
traffic including the emergency services will be required to use the signed
diversion routes.

with (D1432 Harestone Valley Road to its junction at the roundabout with (B2208)
Croydon Road, (B2030) The Square, and (B2030) Godstone Road. Alternative
Route – Church Hill; Church Road; Whyteleafe Road; Burntwood Lane; Wapses
Lodge Roundabout; and Croydon Road; (b) that length of Croydon Road (B2208)
Caterham as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (B2030) Station
Avenue, (B2030) The Square, and (B2030) Godstone Road to a point 10 metres
north of its junction with (D1430 Colin Road. Alternative Routes – (1) Godstone
Road (Southbound); A22 Caterham By-Pass (Northbound); Wapses Lodge
Roundabout; and Croydon Road; (2) Croydon Road (Northbound); Wapses Lodge
Roundabout; Burntwood Lane; Whyteleafe Road; Church Road; Church Hill; and
Station Avenue; (c) the entire length of Croydon Road (D1431) Caterham. There
is no applicable alternative route; (d) that length of Mount Pleasant Road (D1430)
Caterham at its junction with (B2208) Croydon Road. Alternative Route – vehicles
to enter/exit via Farningham Road; (e) that length of Crescent Road (D1431)
Caterham at its junction with (B2208) Croydon Road. Alternative Route – vehicles
to enter/exit via Timberhill Road.
Chester Close (D2878) Pixham
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to temporarily – (a) prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading,
and unloading at any time on both sides of that length of Chester Close (D2878)
Pixham as extends from its north-western and south-eastern junctions with
(B2038) Pixham Lane (NB: to include both arms at the entrance of Chester Close)
to its junction with the access to the garages at the rear of No.1, No.2, and No. 3
Chester Close; and (b) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length
of the south-eastern arm of Chester Close (D2878) Pixham as extends from its
junction with (B2038) Pixham Lane to its junction with the north-western arm of
(D2878) Chester Close; Alternative Route – via the north-western arm of Chester
Close. This Temporary Order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the
public during the rail scrap collection works that are to be carried out by or on
behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as
possible over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 8pm within the 12-month
period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 07 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and waiting
restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to
the nature of the works and for reasons of safety, there will be no access through
the closure area whilst works are in progress and all traffic will be required to use
the alternative route. No sole access will be affected. Exemptions apply for
vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to
stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of
circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with
the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil
enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force.
(N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from
the temporary waiting restriction).
Various Roads in Smallfield
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to (1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that
length of Wheelers Lane (D361) Smallfield as extends from its junction with the
access to the properties known as “Smallfield Surgery” and “Centenary Hall” to
its junction with (C67) Redehall Road in any direction other than eastwards.
Alternative Route – Wheelers Lane; Broadbridge Lane; Weatherhill Road; and
Redehall Road; and (2) temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding
in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order, which
will commence on 01 January 2024 for a period of 18 months is required because
works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be
carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to:
highway improvement scheme works and/or carriageway resurfacing works and/
or signage installation works and/or major highway maintenance works. These
works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 12 weeks within
the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order. The prohibition in part
(1) to this Notice is anticipated to be in operation for the full duration of these
works and will be in operation 24 hours per day. The closures in parts (a) and (b)
of the Schedule to this Notice are anticipated to be completed over 1 week within
duration of these works, with the closure in part (a) anticipated to be in operation
24 hours per day and the closure in part (b) anticipated to be in operation between
the hours of 8pm and 6am. The closures in parts (c), (d) and (e) to the Schedule
of this Notice are anticipated to be completed over 1 week within the duration of
these works between the hours of 8pm and 6am. Advanced warning signs will be
displayed; and the temporary closures and prohibitions will only operate when the
relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the
highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works
after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the
vehicle’s owner. The restriction in part (1) to this Notice shall not apply to vehicles
being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of
a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement
indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times,
as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only.
Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe
to do so, if necessary, via the diversion routes. During certain phases of the
works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case
such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any
24-hour period.

Station Road (A245) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that
length of Station Road (A245) Leatherhead as extends from its western junction
with (B2122) Waterway Road to its junction with (A245) Station Approach Road.
Alternative Route – Waterway Road; Guildford Road; A246 Young Street; A24
By-Pass Road; A243 By-Pass Road; A244 Oxshott Road; Oaklawn Road; and A245
Randalls Road. The Order is required to facilitate bridge inspection and/or bridge
maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the
length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried
out as soon as possible over 1 night between the hours of 9pm and 5am within
the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which
commences on 09 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and
the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are
displayed. Access for Residents within the closure area, the emergency services,
pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. No sole
access will be affected.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or
proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This
Order, which will commence on 01 January 2024 for a period of 18 months is
required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the
said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including
but not limited to: carriageway surface dressing pre-patching and/or carriageway
surface dressing and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or carriageway patching
and/or major highway maintenance works. Works are anticipated to take place
as soon as possible between the hours of 8am and 5pm, each set of works is not
anticipated to take longer than 7 days. Advanced warning signs will be displayed;
and the temporary closures and suspensions will only operate when the relevant
traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway
during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all
reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s
owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all
times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation
only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that
length of Old Road (D309) Betchworth as extends from its junction with (C57) Old
Reigate Road and (C57) The Street to its junction with the access to the property
known as “Tranquil House”. Alternative Route – Old Reigate Road; Station Road;
A25 Reigate Road; and Old Road. The Order is required to allow new water
connection works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SES Water within the length
of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as
soon as possible over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm within the
12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on
15 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary
closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Advanced
warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated
to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic
signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be
maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works there will be no vehicular
access through the closure area, and all vehicular traffic including residents and
the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Taynton Drive (D1169) Merstham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or
proceeding in the entire length of Taynton Drive (D1169) Merstham. Alternative
Route – Weldon Way; Worsted Green; and Sunstone Grove. This Order, which
will commence on 16 January 2024 for a period of 18 months is required
because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said
roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including
but not limited to: drainage investigation and/or drainage maintenance and/or
highway maintenance works. Works are anticipated to take place as soon as
possible and are not anticipated to take longer than 7 days. Advanced warning
signs will be displayed; and the temporary closures and suspensions will only
operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be
obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits
of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and
contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will
be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an
emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding
in the entire length of Povey Cross Road (C64) Hookwood. Alternative Route – C62
Reigate Road; and A217 Reigate Road. This Order, which will commence on 16
January 2024 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or
are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on
behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: footway improvement
and/or footway maintenance and/or footway construction and/or highway
maintenance works. Works are anticipated to be completed within 6 months.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closures and
suspensions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any
vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed
to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been
undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and

Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding
in that length of Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood as extends from its junction with the
access to the property known as “Russ Hill Farm” to its junction with the access
to the property known as “Fourwinds”. Alternative Route: Russ Hill, Rectory Lane,
The Street, Ofield Road, Ifield Wood, Rusper Road, Langhurst Lane, Orltons Lane,
Partridge Lane, Charlwood Lane and Russ Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order
is required to facilitate new water connection works for or on behalf of SES Water.
These works are anticipated to be completed over 5 days between the hours of
8.30am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will
commence on 15 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and
the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day,
will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for
pedestrians, cyclists, and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the
nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through
the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be
required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by
this closure.
Cobham Road (D2508) and River Lane (D2566) Fetcham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding
in that length of; (i) Cobham Road (D2508) Fetcham as extends from its junction
with (D2566) River Lane to its junction with (X15197) Fetcham Common Lane; and
(ii) River Lane (D2566) Fetcham as extends from its junction with (D2508) Cobham
Road to its junction with (X8171) River Walk. Alternative Route: a) (D2508)
Cobham Road, (A245) Woodlands Lane, (A245) Woodlands Road, (A245) Randalls
Road, (A245) Bull Hill, (A245) Station Road, (B2122) Waterway Road, (B2122)
Guildford Road, and; b) (D2508) Cobham Road, (B2122) Guildford Road, (B2122)
Waterway Road, (A245) Station Approach Road, (A245) Randalls Road, (A245)
Woodlands Road, (A245) Woodlands Lane, and (D2508) Cobham Road. This Order
is required to carry out telecom utility maintenance works for, or on behalf of BT
Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the
hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this
Order which will commence on 16 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be
displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic

On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding
in that length of; (a) Westmore Green (D446) Tatsfield as extends from its junction
with (D448) Paynesfield Road to its junction with (D446) Ship Hill; and (b) the
entire length of Ship Hill (D446) Tatsfield. Alternative Route: Church Hill, (B2024)
Clarks Lane, Tatsfield Approach Road, and Westmore Green, or this route in
reverse. This Order is required to facilitate development related works for, or on
behalf of J Browne Construction. These works are anticipated to be carried out
over 13 weeks between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am
and 1pm on Saturday during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary
Order that commences on 22 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be
displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24
hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by
emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via
road plates, if necessary, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Road, (A24) London Road, (A24) Mickleham By-pass, (A24) London Road, (A2003)
Ashcombe Road, (A2003) Chalkpit Lane, (A2003) Station Road, (A25) West Street,
(A25) Westcott Road, Guildford Road, (A25) Coast Hill, and (A25) Guildford Road,
or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate highways maintenance/
carriageway improvement/ and footway slurry works for, or on behalf of Surrey
County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as
possible, during the 18- month period of operation of this Temporary Order that
commences on 22 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed;
and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are
displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works
will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods
have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for
pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will
access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular
access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so,

under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which
will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Masons
Bridge Road (D355) Redhill and Honeycrock Lane (C65) Salfords which extends
from its junction with a: Axes Lane (C65) to its junction with Kings Mill Lane (D355)
b: Masons Bridge Road (D355) to its junction with Dunraven Avenue (X67881).
Alternative Route – Diversion for Mason’s Bridge Road: Axes Lane (C65), Green
Lane (C65), Prince of Wales Road (C67), Moats Lane (D381), Crab Hill Lane (D381),
Kings Cross Lane (D381) and Kings Mill Lane (D355) or the same route in reverse.
Diversion for Honeycrock Lane: Brighton Road (A23), Horley Road (A23), Three
Arch Road (D355) and Masons Bridge Road (D355) or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is
anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during
the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on
26 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary
closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for
pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency
vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of
which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of
roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. (N.B. the road
closures will not be in force at the same time). This Order is required to enable
Surrey County Council to facilitate installation of speed limit signs, which is
anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of
operation of this Order which will commence on 8 January 2024. Advanced
warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when
the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the
highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the
limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify
and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be
maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of roads,
including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be
maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Walters Mead (D2613) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which
will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Walters
Mead (D2613) Ashtead which extends from its junction with Woodfield Lane
(D2613) to the northeastern property boundary line of “4 Walters Mead”.
Alternative Route – No diversion route available.
The Order is required to allow Clancy Docwra to carry out water works which is
anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:30am and 4:30pm, during
the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on
29 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary
closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Road plate
to be used out of working hours. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be
maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be
maintained within the closure.
Church Lane (C82) Oxted
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of
which will be to prohibit vehicles, equestrians and cyclists from entering or
proceeding in that length of Church Lane (C82) Oxted which extends from its
junction with A25 West Hill/Godstone Road to its southernmost junction with
Langley House. This Order is required to enable Safe Dig Utilities to facilitate
ducting works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8am
and 4pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will
commence on 9 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the
temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only
operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents,
emergency service vehicles, equestrians and cyclists will be maintained via the
signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. The
Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act,
vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle
access, within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be
restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/
or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Alternative Route –
Church Lane, East Hill Road, West Hill and Church Lane.
