What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(BAMFORD ROAD, QUEENS PARK ROAD, BURY AND ROCHDALE OLD ROAD, CLOUGH LANE, WOOD VIEW, PLEASANT STREET, VICTORIA TERRACE, MINE STREET, BROWN STREET, MELROSE AVENUE, RIVER STREET, CLAYBANK STREET AND HEYWOOD HALL ROAD, HEYWOOD)
(TEMPORARY ONE-WAY WORKING, TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT AND LEFT TURN) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily;
i. Introduce one-way working in a northerly direction along Queens Park Road, from its junction with Heywood Hall Road to its junction with Bury and Rochdale Old Road in so far as vehicles will not be permitted to travel along Queens Park Road in a southerly direction from its junction with Bury and Rochdale Old Road to its junction with Heywood Hall Road,
ii. Introduce one-way working in a southerly direction along Bamford Road from its junction with Bury and Rochdale Old Road to its junction with Heywood Hall Road in so far as vehicles will not be permitted to travel along Bamford Road in a northerly direction from its junction with Heywood Hall Road to its junction with Bury and Rochdale Old Road,
iii. Prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along both sides of Heywood Hall Road, from its junction with Bamford Road to its junction with Queens Park Road,
iv. Prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along both sides of Bamford Road, from a point 100 metres south of its junction with Heywood Hall Road to its junction with Bury and Rochdale Old Road,
v. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Bury and Rochdale Old Road onto Queens Park Road,
vi. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a right turn manoeuvre from Bury and Rochdale Old Road onto Queens Park Road,
vii. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Clough Lane onto Bamford Road,
viii. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Wood View onto Bamford Road,
ix. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a right turn manoeuvre from Pleasant Street onto Bamford Road,
x. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Victoria Terrace onto Bamford Road,
xi. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a right turn manoeuvre from Mine Street onto Bamford Road,
xii. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a right turn manoeuvre from Brown Street onto Bamford Road,
xiii. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Melrose Avenue onto Bamford Road,
xiv. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a right turn manoeuvre from River Street onto Bamford Road,
xv. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Claybank Street onto Bamford Road.

The alternative route for vehicles wishing to travel along Queens Park Road in a southerly direction from Bury and Rochdale Old Road to its junction with Heywood Hall Road is via Bury and Rochdale Old Road (B6222), Bamford Road, Market Place, York Street (A58) and Queens Park Road.

The alternative route for vehicles wishing to travel along Bamford Road in a northerly direction from its junction with Heywood Hall Road to Bury and Rochdale Old Road is via Bamford Road, Market Place, York Street (A58), Queens Park Road and Bury and Rochdale Old Road.

The Order is required to facilitate required footway and carriageway works to Queens Park Road Bridge and assist traffic flow.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours on 3rd January 2024 until 18:00 hours on 2nd January 2025.

(SCHOFIELD STREET, HEYWOOD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Schofield Street from its junction with Mount Street for a distance of 40 metres in a southerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the laying of a new water main and to allow for new connections onto the main.
The Order will be operative from 07.30 hours on 8th January 2023 until 18.00 hours on 19th January 2023.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Schofield Street, King Street, Mount Street and vice versa.
