What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Cusance Way (Part), Trowbridge; from its roundabout junction with Sylvester Drive to outside its property known as No.38 Cusance Way to enable Wessex Water to carry out repair cover and associated works. Alternative route via Cusance Way (unaffected length) - Proby Place - Corbin Road - Sylvester Drive and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:30 for 2 days. B) Valley Road (Part), Corsham; from its junction with B3353 to its junction with Freestone Way to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, replacing road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works. Alternative route via Valley Road (unaffected length) - Potley Lane- Upper Potley -Westwells - Westwells Road - Park Lane - A4 - B3353 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 19 January 2024. C) C235 (Part), Dilton Marsh; from its junction with Farm Road to outside its property known as Sunnydawn to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement and associated works. Alternative route via C235 (unaffected length) - A36 - A3098 - C235 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) B3098 High Street (Part), Market Lavington; from its junction with Fiddington Clay for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out repairs to a frame, cover and associated maintenance works. Alternative route via B3098 (unaffected length) - A360 - A342 - B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 December 2023 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. Orders A) to D) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACT 2004 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (WESTBURY, HEYWOOD AND DILTON MARSH) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2019 (AMENDMENT NO.6) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in the Westbury, Heywood and Dilton Marsh Consolidation Order 2019 the effect of which will be to revoke Map Schedule Nos. FP30 and FQ30 dated 20 May 2019 and replace them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos. FP30 and FQ30 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at any time on Alfred Street, Westbury - south side - from a point opposite the western boundary of property No.67 Alfred Street for a distance of 16 metres in a westerly direction; Alfred Street, Westbury - north side - from a point outside the eastern building boundary of property No.69 Alfred Street to a point outside the boundary between property Nos. 30 Alfred Street and No.2 Bitham Mill; B3098 Bratton Road, Westbury - north side - from a point opposite the boundary of property Nos. 60 and 62 Bratton Road for a distance of 14 metres in a north easterly direction; Glovers Row, Westbury- both sides - from its junction with Alfred Street for a distance of 8 metres in a north westerly direction. Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Westbury Library, 15 Edward Street BA13 3BD during the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 1pm Saturday until 15 January 2024.
