What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) B3089 (Part), Barford St Martin; from its junction with Dairy Road to its junction with Short Lane to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via B3089 (unaffected length) - A350 - A30 - B3089 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. B) Park Road (Part), Tisbury; from its junction with Cuffs Lane to outside its property known as Park Heights to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Park Road (unaffected length) - High Street - Cuffs Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 for 2 days. C) Berrywood Lane (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its property known as Highbank for a distance of approximately 80m in a northerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out works to install a new service connection and other associated works. Alternative route via Berrywood Lane (unaffected length) - Bartholomew Street West to junction with Berry Wood Lane - C299 - C61 - C62 - Berrywood Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2024 and the closure will be required until 13 January 2024. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 01225 713497.

D) B3089 (Part), Dinton and Teffont; from its junction with C64, Dinton to its junction with C24, Teffont to enable Openreach to carry out pole test and associated works. Alternative route via B3089 (unaffected length) - A350 - A40 - B3089 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. E) C276 (Part), Sutton Mandeville; for a distance of approximately 30m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge and associated works. Alternative route via C276 (unaffected length) - C24 - B3089 - C64 - C276 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 December 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 for 1 night. Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend: Parking Monday to Saturday, 8.00am - 6.00pm, 2 hours, No Return within 4 hours on the following road: Exeter Street - West Side - from a point 15 metres north of its junction with Carmelite Way to a point 79 metres north of that junction. And to temporarily introduce Bus Parking, 8.00am - 6.00pm: Exeter Street - West Side - from a point 15 metres north of its junction with Carmelite Way to a point 79 metres north of that junction.

To enable Provision to be made for coach parking whilst works to refurbish the coach park in Millstream Approach, Salisbury are undertaken. This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2024 and it is anticipated to be required until 30 April 2024. For the purpose of the Order "bus parking bay" means any area of carriageway of a specified road, intended for the waiting of a bus not operating a registered local service which is comprised within and indicated by a road marking complying with diagram 1028.4 in Schedule 7, Part 4 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 1. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, SALIBSURY) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2023

2. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (SALISBURY) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Order 2 also under the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be as follows:

Order 1 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Salisbury) (20mph Speed Limit Zone) Order 1999, re-enact it in Order 1 and to include the following roads in the 20mph speed limit zone: Chapel Place and South Western Road - the complete lengths; Churchfields Road -from its junction with Mill Road to a point in line with the boundary between the properties known as No.15 Mill Road and South Lodge, Churchfields Road; Exeter Street - from its junction with St. Ann Street to a point in line with the boundary between Nos.74 and 75 Exeter Street; Fisherton Street - from its junction with South Western Road to its junction with Windsor Road; Mill Road - from its junction with Churchfields Road to its junction with South Western Road.

Order 2 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Salisbury) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2013 (with amendments 1-11, 13-20 and 22-39), re-enact it in Order 2, to include provisions to allow for ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Enforcement of school keep clear markings and to make the following changes; To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road: Fisherton Street - south side - from a point 4 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos.19 and 21 Fisherton Street to a point 6 metres east of that boundary; Fisherton Street - south side -from a point 1 metre east of a point in line with boundary between property Nos.37 and 39 Fisherton Street to a point 1 metre west of that boundary; South Western Road - south east side - from a point 4 metres south west of a point in line with the centreline of the vehicular access to property No.115 South Western Road to a point 8 metres south west of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos.131-133 and 135 South Western Road; To introduce Loading/Unloading only 8am - 6pm Max stay 20 minutes on Fisherton Street - south side - from a point 4 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos.19 and 21 Fisherton Street to a point 1 metres west of a point in line with the boundary between Nos.37 and 39 Fisherton Street; To revoke the current No waiting at any time on the south side of Fisherton Street - from a point 4 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos.19 and 21 Fisherton Street to a point 6 metres east of that boundary; To introduce Parking Mon-Sat 8am - 6pm 30 mins No return within 1 hour on the west side of Dews Road - from a point 1 metre south of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos.1 and 1a Dews Road to a point 4 metres south of that boundary; To introduce No waiting 8am - 7pm and No Loading 8am - 7pm on the north west side of South Western Road - from a point 4 metres south west of a point in line with the centreline of the vehicular access to property No.115 South Western Road to a point in line with the boundary between property Nos.131 - 133 and 135 South Western Road; To introduce No Loading Midnight - 10am and 4pm -Midnight on the south east side of South Western Road - from a point 4 metres south west of a point in line with the centreline of the vehicular access to property No.115 South Western Road to its junction with Mill Road; To amend the current Tourist Bus Parking 8am - 6pm 10 mins No return within 30 mins in St John's Street for administrative purposes to Bus Parking 8am - 6pm 10 mins No return within 30 mins. As part of this project a Bus Stop Clearway will be implemented on both sides of Fisherton Street - from a point 2 metres west of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 99 and 101 Fisherton Street to a point 10 metres east of that boundary.

PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - FISHERTON STREET, SALISBURY

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the removal of the existing Zebra Crossing on Fisherton Street from a point 5 metres east of its junction with North Street to a point 32 metres west of that junction and proposes the installation of a Zebra Crossing in Fisherton Street from its junction with North Street to a point 26 metres west of that junction.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 90A TRAFFIC CALMING FEATURE - VARIOUS ROADS, SALISBURY

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes the installation of Traffic Calming Features which will form a method of reducing the speed of vehicles in the interests of road safety as follows: Dews Road at its junction with Fisherton Street. Maximum height of 100 millimetres with a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 12; Fisherton Street from a point 10 metres east of its junction with North Street to a point 28 metres west of that junction. Maximum height of 75 millimetres with a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 15; Fisherton Street from a point 6 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property No.92 Fisherton Street and Summerlock Bridge to a point 2 metres west of that boundary. Maximum height of 60 millimetres with a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 15; Fisherton Street from a point 13 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 55 and 57 Fisherton Street to a point 13 metres west of that boundary. Maximum height of 40 millimetres with a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 15; North Street from its junction with Fisherton Street for a distance of 4 metres in a southerly direction. Maximum height of 100 millimetres with a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 12; Summerlock Approach from its junction with Fisherton Street for a distance of 6 metres in a northerly direction. Maximum height of 100 millimetres with a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 12.

Deposit copies of Orders 1 and 2, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Orders 1 and 2 may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Salisbury Library, Market Walk, Salisbury during the hours of 10am-7pm Monday, 9am-7pm Tuesday and Friday and 9am-5pm Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday until 15 January 2024.
