Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

THANET AREA

A299 ROYAL HARBOUR APPROACH, RAMSGATE, CT11 0HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow planned routine maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A299 Royal Harbour Approach, Ramsgate, in 12 phases as detailed below:

Phase 1 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 9th January 2024, with estimated completion by 9th January 2024.

Phase 2 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 6th February 2024, with estimated completion by 6th February 2024.

Phase 3 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 12th March 2024, with estimated completion by 12th March 2024.

Phase 4 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 9th April 2024, with estimated completion by 9th April 2024.

Phase 5 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 7th May 2024, with estimated completion by 7th May 2024.

Phase 6 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 11th June 2024, with estimated completion by 11th June 2024.

Phase 7 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 9th July 2024, with estimated completion by 9th July 2024.

Phase 8 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 6th August 2024, with estimated completion by 6th August 2024.

Phase 9 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 10th September 2024, with estimated completion by 10th September 2024.

Phase 10 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 8th October 2024, with estimated completion by 8th October 2024.

Phase 11 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 5th November 2024, with estimated completion by 5th November 2024.

Phase 12 - Between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, from 10th December 2024, with estimated completion by 10th December 2024.

A299 Royal Harbour Approach will be closed the entire length. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A255 Canterbury Road East, A255 Nethercourt Circus Roundabout, B2054 London Road, B2054 Grange Road, B2054 St Augustines Road, B2054 Paragon, B2054 Royal Parade, Military Road, and vice versa.

AUGUSTA ROAD, RAMSGATE CT11 8FH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Augusta Road, Ramsgate, on or after 8th January 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Truro Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bellevue Road, B2054 Victoria Road, B2054 Victoria Parade and vice versa.

MELBOURNE AVENUE, RAMSGATE CT12 6JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow road repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Melbourne Avenue, Ramsgate, on or after 8th January 2024 for up to 21 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Brisbane Close and Princess Margaret Avenue. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Melbourne Avenue, St Johns Avenue, Princess Margaret Avenue and vice versa.

UNION ROW, MARGATE, CT9 9TA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Union Row, Margate, on or after 8th January 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2055 Hawley Street, Union Crescent, Addington Street and vice versa.

VICTORIA ROAD, MARGATE, CT9 1RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Road, Margate, on or after 8th January 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 78, to number 82. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dane Road, Park Road, Thanet Road and vice versa.

VARIOUS ROADS, MARGATE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & LEFT TURN & SUSPENSION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Margate, on or after 8th January 2024 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

A254 Ramsgate Road will be closed, southbound only, between the junctions of Sloe Lane and Poorhole Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A254 Ramsgate Road, B2052 College Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Dane Court Road, A256 Westwood Road, Poorhole Lane and vice versa.

Star Lane, will be closed at the junction with A254 Ramsgate Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A254 Margate Road, A256 Haine Road, Nash Road and vice versa.

A temporary left turn prohibition will be imposed on Sloe Lane, prohibiting traffic from turning left onto A254 Ramsgate Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A temporary suspension of parking will be enforced on A256 Westwood Road, the entire length. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
