What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council De-Restriction of Speed Limit, Various Roads, Skipton, Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 82(2) & 83(2), of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to de-restrict the speed limit to the national speed limit on any length of road specified as follows, Schedule, A629 Rotary Way, Skipton Bypass, from it's junction with A629/Wyvern Road roundabout north west for a distance of 96 metres, De-restriction. A629 Rotary Way, Skipton Bypass, from its junction with A629/Wyvern Road roundabout southeast for a distance of 85 metres, De-restriction. A629 Rotary Way/ Wyvern Road Roundabout, Skipton Bypass, In its entirety, De-restriction. Wyvern Road, Skipton, from its junction with A629 Rotary Way /Wyvern Road roundabout, northeast for a distance of 9 metres, De-restriction. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Skipton Library, High Street, Skipton, BD23 1JX during normal office hours from 14/12/23 until 05/01/24 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing addressed to Area 5 Skipton Highways Office, Snaygill Industrial Estate, Keighley Road, Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 2QR or by email Area5.Skipton@northyorks.gov.uk  or via the website link above by 05/01/24.
