(Priorslee Area, Telford) (Prohibitions, Restrictions of Waiting, Limited Waiting and Loading Bays) Traffic Regulation Order 2023 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Borough of Telford and Wrekin in exercise of its powers Has Made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2), 4, 5 and Part III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with the Act.

This Modified Order shall come into effect on the 30th of January 2024.

1) To introduce or amend the prohibit waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on parts of the following roads; Access Road – North-west of Priors Gate, Bayswater Close, Brookvale Road, Cadman Drive, Chancery Park, Colliford Close, Coniston Drive, Copper Close, Derwent Drive, Everglade Road, Ferndale Drive, Finsbury Drive, Gatcombe Way, Glen Brook Road, Gough Close, Hazel Way, Highgate Drive, Highgrove Meadows, Holborn Crescent, Kesworth Drive, Lambeth Drive, Mayfair Grove, Park Close, Pitchford Drive, Priors Gate, Priorslee Avenue, Priorslee Village, Westminster Way and Wyndham Grove#

2) To introduce No Waiting restrictions (single yellow line) operating 8am to 9am and 2.30pm to 3.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive on the following road(s); Cadman Drive, Cooper Close, Derwent Drive, Gough Close and Pitchford Drive

3) To introduce a loading only bay permitting 30 minutes for loading with a No return to the same bay for 1 hour and operates from 7am to 7pm on all days of the week on the following length(s) of road(s); Church Street, South side; 13 metres west of its junction with Grove Street in a westerly direction for 13 metres.

4) To revoke certain existing prohibitions and restrictions from the following Orders; The purpose of the proposed Order is to improve the free flow of traffic by removing indiscriminate parking on the public highway and improving safety for pedestrian on the footway affected by this Order. The modification relates to the hours of operation for the single yellow lines and reflect changes to school operations.

Documents detailing the particulars of the Order may be inspected from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday at any Council office or at www.telford.gov.uk/TRO on the link to Traffic Orders

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
