What is happening?

SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL (BIRCHINGTON AVENUE SOUTH SHIELDS) ORDER 2023

On 13 December 2023 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.The Order which comes into operation on 18 December 2023 will AMEND No Waiting At Any Time on Birchington Avenue east side - the restriction will now be from its junction with Temple Park Road northwards for a distance of 18m. Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 13 December 2023 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
