Reason: Replace telegraph pole.
An alternative route is available via: Haigh Lane/Cross Lane/Gadding Moor Road/North Lane/Lane Head Road.

An order has been made to introduce a 40 mph speed restriction on the following:
- Halifax Road from Hermit Hill Lane to Crane Moor Road, from 19 December 2023 for approximately three days.
- Howbrook Lane from Hollinberry Lane to Penistone Road, from 18 December 2023 for approximately three days.
- Sheffield Road from Thurgoland Bank to Bower Hill Road, from 20 December 2023 for approximately three days.
Reason: Test rodding and roping works.
