Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 8th December 2023 has made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and under section 90a and 90c of the Highways Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 to introduce raised speed tables on Ashley Road N17 and Burdock Road N17.

The general effect of the Orders would be:-

1. To introduce a Restricted Parking Zone (no waiting/no loading except in signed bays) on Ashley Road N17 from a point 7.22 metres north of its junction with Watermead Way to a point 6.1 metres south of the southern kerb of Burdock Road. This will replace all existing double yellow lines/ double kerb blips and single yellow lines/single kerb blips at this location.

2. To introduce the double yellow lines on both sides of Ashley Road N17 from its junction with Watermead Way, north for 7.22 metres.

3. To introduce a Car club bay for car club permit holders AR-01 on the west side of Ashley Road N17 from a point 13.8 metres north of its junction with Watermead Way, north for 6 metres.

4. To introduce a Loading only bay on the west side of Ashley Road N17 from a point 30 metres north of its junction with Watermead Way, north for 10 metres.

5. To introduce a Loading only bay on the east side of Ashley Road N17 from a point 12.2 metres north of its junction with Watermead Way, north for 23.5 metres.

6. To introduce a Loading only bay on the west side of Ashley Road N17 from a point 81.7 metres north of its junction with Watermead Way, north for 46 metres.

7. To introduce a Disabled parking bay on the west side of Ashley Road N17 from a point 59.7 metres south of the southern kerb of Burdock Road, south for 19.8 metres.

8. To revoke the dedicated disabled bay on the west side of Ashley Road N17 outside Rosa Luxemburg Apartments.

9. To revoke the bus stand on the west side of Ashley Road N17outside Ashley House 25 Ashley Road.

10. To introduce a Loading only bay on the west side of Ashley Road N17 from a point 7.7 metres south of the southern kerb of Burdock Road, south for 41.5 metres.

11. To introduce a Loading only bay on the east side of Ashley Road N17 from a point 7.7 metres south of the southern kerb of Burdock Road, south for 23.5 metres.

12. To introduce double yellow lines on the east side of Ashley Road N17 from its junction with the northern kerb of Burdock Road, north for 4.5 metres.

13. To introduce double yellow lines on the east side of Ashley Road N17 from its junction with the southern kerb of Burdock Road, south for 6.1 metres.

14. To introduce double yellow lines on the west side of Ashley Road N17 from a point 6.1 metres south of the southern kerb of Burdock Road, north for 21.6 metres.

15. To introduce a 20mph zone on Ashley Road N17 from its junction with Watermead Way for its entire length.

16. To introduce a One way with contraflow cycle lane on Ashley Road N17 from its junction with Watermead Way to its junction with the southern kerb of Burdock Road.

17. To introduce a banned left turn except cycles on Burdock Road N17 preventing vehicles turning left into Ashley Road.

18. To introduce a no entry except cycles on Ashley Road N17 at a point in line with the southern kerb line of Burdock Road.

Raised speed tables will be introduced at the following locations (these will be the full width of the carriageway unless otherwise stated and a maximum height of 75mm):

(a) Ashley Road N17 located at its junction with Watermead Way north for 8.8 metres.

(b) Ashley Road N17 located 60 metres north of its junction with Watermead Way, north for 21 metres.

(c) Ashley Road N17 located 128.2 metres north of its junction with Watermead Way, north for 23.5 metres.

(d) Ashley Road N17 located 7.9 metres south of its junction with the southern kerb of Burdock Road, north for 23.2 metres. Inclusive of 7.3 metres on Burdock Road from its junction with Ashley Road.

Date of operation: The Orders will come into operation on 22nd December 2023.

Further details: an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect the Orders during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR, or can be viewed online https://streets.appyway.com/haringey within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made. Application to the high court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
