Gloucestershire County Council Temporary Road Closure Of 40085 Road From The Bourts To The A4136 (Lydbrook Parish) Forest Of Dean District  Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 40085 Road being the road from The Bourts to the A4136, from outside property number 21 to outside property number 23 for a total distance of approximately 125 metres.  The reason for the closure is for works to be undertaken for a new water connection. The said road is expected to be closed from 18th December 2023 until 20th December 2023 or until the works  have been completed. There will be no waiting or loading permitted throughout the duration of the works. The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted at various times on a rolling programme commencing 1st January 2024,  where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closure/restrictions taking effect. This intended Order may permit the said closures and restrictions of the said roads in any order, or simultaneously, as required, and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 31st October 2024.
