PUBLIC NOTICE
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023 DAME ALICE STREET AND ST LLOYES STREET, BEDFORD 23 – 129
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Dame Alice Street from Harpur Street to St Peters Street, and St Loyes Street from Dame Alice Street to Allhallows Bedford.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate GPR survey and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00hours from 18th January 2024 to 21st January 2024
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via High Street, St Pauls Square, Horne Lane, River Street, Greyfriars, Hassett Street.
The reverse route applies.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 18th January 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Bedford Borough Council Tel: 01234 718003.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along The Spinney Bedford outside 18.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate pole renewal and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:30 hours 11th January 2024
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via The Copse, Turnpike Way, Elliott Crescent, The Spinney.
The reverse route applies.
