Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-

1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D162 Vann Lane, D166 Vann Lane and D166 The Cricket Green, Hambledon.

2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Vann Lane (D162) Chiddingfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.

3. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Vann Lane (D162) Chiddingfold and Skinners Lane (D163) Chiddingfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus to carry out water mains disconnection and/or upgrade and/or connection and/or maintenance works in D162 Vann Lane, Hambledon between the access road for “Brookside” and the access road for “Pockford Farm”.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route:- Vann Lane, The Cricket Green, Lane End, Petworth Road, Skinners Lane and Vann Lane.

C32 Station Lane, Enton and D5411 George Road, Farncombe
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-

1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of:-

a) C32 Station Lane, Enton (part of which is also known as Station Road). Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm on 09/01/24 and 5:30am on 10/01/24. Alternative route:- Station Lane, Portsmouth Road, Flambard Way, Brighton Road, Home Farm Road, Hambledon Road and Station Road.

b) D5411 George Road, Farncombe. Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm on 09/01/24. Alternative route:- Bourne Road, Grays Road and Station Road.

2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Station Lane (C32), Water Lane (D169) and Tuesley Lane (D169) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Lanes Group to carry out sewer cleaning and/or maintenance works on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 14 hours of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

D222 Little London and D222 Brook Lane, Albury
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D222 Little London and D222 Brook Lane, Albury that extends from the junction with D194 Brook Hill, to the western side of the junction with D222 Park Road.

This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to gain access to carriageway boxes and/or to carry out gully cleaning and/or cabling and/or connection and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Brook Lane, New Road and Park Road.

D3144 Crown Street, Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3144 Crown Street, Egham that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D3143 Park Road, to the western side of its junction with D3143 Kings Road.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Lanes Group to carry out sewer cleaning and/or maintenance works on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Hummer Road, Church Road, Egham High Street, Egham By-Pass and Runnemede Road.

B365 Ashley Road, Walton on Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B365 Ashley Road, Walton on Thames that extends from the south-eastern property boundary of “No.64 Ashley Road”, to the north-eastern property boundary of “No.64 Ashley Road”.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Marshall Surfacing Contracts Limited and/or London Square Limited to carry out works at the roundabout junction of Ashley Road with D3860 Stompond Lane, D3858 Ashley Park Road and Ashley Park Avenue in association with the new housing estate on Stompond Lane, to include surface planing, resurfacing, hydro-blasting, line marking, installation of new signage and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out at night, between the hours of 2am and 5am, within 1 week of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- 1. Ashley Road and Hersham Road. 2. Ashley Road, Station Avenue and Hersham Road.

D3020 Hamilton Close, A317 Eastworth Road and A317 Chertsey Road, Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in:-

a) The entire length of D3020 Hamilton Close, Chertsey. Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 3 days from 15/01/24.

b) That length of A317 Eastworth Road and A317 Chertsey Road, Chertsey that extends from the junction with B387 Fordwater Road, westwards for a distance of 200m. Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 2pm on 21/01/24.

Alternative route:- Chertsey Road, Eastworth Road, Abbots Way, Heriot Road, London Street, Weir Road and Fordwater Road.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to access carriageway boxes and/or to carry out poling and/or ducting and/or cabling and/or connection and/or upgrade and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of operatives on site. For a) D3020 Hamilton Close, access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times under direction of operatives on site. For b) A317 Eastworth Road and A317 Chertsey Road, access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route described above.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in the entire length of the local access footway from C127 Lyne Crossing Road, to D3000 Farm Close, Chertsey.

This Traffic Order is required to enable UK Power Networks to carry out utility works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 7 days of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no applicable alternative route however no sole access will be affected. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and dismounted, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

D6873 Plough Lane, Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D6873 Plough Lane, Cobham. 2. Revoke “The Surrey County Council D6873 Plough Lane, Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.

This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out blockage clearing and/or cabling and/or ducting and/or maintenance works in D6873 Plough Lane, Cobham that extends from its junction with C42 Downside Road, south-westwards for 200m.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Downside Road, Chillbrook Road and Ockham Lane.

D3134 Coopers Hill Lane, Englefield Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3134 Coopers Hill Lane, Englefield Green that extends from its junction with A328 St Judes Road, to the north-western property boundary of “Coopers Hill Lodge”.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus to carry out water works outside “Cedar House, Coopers Hill Lane”, and for a distance of 50m in a southward direction.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- St Judes Road and Coopers Hill Lane.

Wolsey Road (D6896) Esher
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Wolsey Road (D6896) Esher. Alternative Route: (a) (A307) High Street, (A244) Church Street, and (A244) Lammas Lane; and (b) (A244) Lammas Lane, (A3009) Esher Green, and (A307) High Street. This Order is required to facilitate new water mains connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 20 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Middle Street (C46) Shere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Middle Street (C46) Shere as extends from its junction with (C46) Gomshall Lane to its junction with (D226) The Square; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Gomshall Lane (C46) and Middle Street (C46) Shere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route: (1) (C46) Upper Street, (A25) Shere Road, (A248) Sherbourne, New Road, Park Road, Shere Heath Road, Sandy Lane, and Shere Lane; (2) (C46) Shere Lane, (C46) Sandy Lane, (D222) Hook Lane, (D227) Burrows Lane, (D227) Queen Street, (A25) Shere Road, (C46) Upper Street. This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of Network Plus.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Crown Road (D3196) Virginia Water
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crown Road (D3196) Virginia Water as extends from its junction with (D3196) Cabrera Avenue to its junction with (C10) Trumps Green Road. Alternative Route: Trumps Green Road, Wellington Avenue, and Crown Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate telecom works for, or on behalf of Kelly Traffic Management.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.

Wolsey Road (D3247) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wolsey Road (D3247) Ashford as extends from its junction with (C241) Stanwell Road to its junction with (D3247) Ford Road.

Alternative Route: (i) Stanwell Road, Chaucer Road, and Ford Road; (ii) Stanwell Road, Chesterfield Road, and Ford Road.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 21 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Road plates will be added out of working hours. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Merryacres (D929) Witley Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Merryacres (D929) Witley Godalming.

This Order is required to facilitate water mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 16 weeks, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 7pm, Saturdays between the hours of 8am and 5pm, and Sundays between the hours of 9am and 1pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out surface dressing and pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible during the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 December 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of roads, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

The Schedule
D3167 Norlands Lane, Thorpe – that length which extends from its junction with A320 Staines Road and its junction with Coldharbour Lane. Alternative Route – D3167 Coldharbour Lane, D3199 Village Road, D3176 Green Road, B388 Mill House Lane, B388 Thorpe Road and A320 Staines Road.

2. D3110 Crimp Hill, Englefield Green – that length which extends between its junction with Ridgemead to its junction with Bishops Gate Road. Alternative Route – D3111 Bishopsgate, D3110 Castle Hill Road and D3110 Ridgemead Road; 3. C129 Brox Road, Ottershaw – that length which extends between the junction with Guildford Road and the junction with Bousley Rose. Access for buses may be affected.

Alternative Route – A320 Guildford Road, B3121 Murray Road and C129 Brox Road. 4. C126 Lyne Lane, Thorpe – that length which extends between its junction with Green Road and its junction with Lyne Crossing Road.

Alternative Route – C127 Lyne Crossing Road, C127 Bridge Lane, C10 Trumps Green Road, B289 Sandhills Lane and B389 Green Road; 5. A308 Windsor Road, Egham – that length which extends from its roundabout junction with A30 Egham By-Pass to its roundabout junction with A328 Priest Hill. Alternative Route – A328 Priest Hill, A328 St Judes Road, A30 Egham Hill and A30 Egham By-Pass.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:-

a) The entire length of D222 Moon Hall Road, Ewhurst. Alternative route:- D222 Peaslake Road and C46 Pitch Hill. b) That length of B2127 Ockley Road, Ewhurst that extends from its junction with C46 Shere Road, to the boundary of Waverley Borough Council with Mole Valley District Council.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out major maintenance and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or dressing/treatments and/or improvement works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within 4 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the diversion routes described herein.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

D4009 Elles Avenue, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D4009 Elles Avenue, Guildford. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out footway resurfacing and/or highway resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- D4009 Daryngton Drive, D4009 Carroll Avenue and D4009 Holford Road.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

A3100 Portsmouth Road, Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A3100 Portsmouth Road, Godalming that extends from the eastern side of its junction with A286 Church Road, Milford to its junction with D5404 Shackstead Lane 

his Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway dressing and/or resurfacing and/or maintenance and/or improvement works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out in phases within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- A3100 Portsmouth Road, A283 Guildford Road, A283 Link Road, A283 Elstead Road Roundabout, A3 Milford By-Pass, A3 Guildford and Godalming By-Pass, B3000 Puttenham Heath Road, B3000 The Street, B3000 New Pond Road, A3100 Old Portsmouth Road, A3100 Meadrow, A3100 Bridge Road, A3100 Flambard Way and A3100 Ockford Road.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Temporary Traffic Management Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-

1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A308 Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames that extends from the south-western property boundary of “No.195 Staines Road West”, to the south-eastern property boundary of “No.79 Staines Road West”.

2. a) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a northerly direction on A244 Windmill Road, Sunbury on Thames from turning right into A308 Staines Road West.

b) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a northerly direction on D6245 Escot Road, Sunbury on Thames from turning right into A308 Staines Road West.

c) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a southerly direction on A244 Cadbury Road, Sunbury on Thames, upon reaching the junction with A308 Staines Road West from continuing southwards into A244 Windmill Road.

d) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in an easterly direction on A308 Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames from turning left into A244 Cadbury Road.

e) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in an easterly direction on A308 Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames from turning right into D6245 Escot Road.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Lanes Group to carry out sewer cleaning and/or maintenance and/or associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 5:30am within 3 nights of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibitions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative routes described below:-

1. Staines By-Pass, Staines Road West, Sunbury Cross Roundabout and Staines Road West.

2. Staines By-Pass, Staines Road West, Fordbridge Roundabout and Staines Road West.

Hummer Road (D3144) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hummer Road (D3144) Egham which extends from its junction with Strode Street (D3145) to the southern property boundary of “No 46 Hummer Road”.

Alternative Route – Hummer Road (D3144), Crown Street (D3144) and Kings Road (D3143) or the same route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

Longcross Road (B386) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Longcross Road (B386) Chertsey which extends from its junction with the western arm of Kitsmead Lane to its junction with Stone Hill Road, and any parts thereof.

This Order is required to enable J Browne Construction to carry out development work and/or water main laying works, which is anticipated to be completed within 6 months during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 8 January 2024.

The works are anticipated to be carried out as follows: between 8am and 6pm on weekdays, between 8am and 3pm on Saturdays and between 9am and 1pm on Sundays. The works are anticipated to be carried out in 3 phases.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so, if necessary via the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency vehicle access, within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Alternative Routes – Phase 1 (between Kitsmead Lane and Accommodation Road): Accommodation Road, Stonehill Road, Chertsey Road, Windsor Road, Staple Hill, Longcross Road and vice versa; Phase 2 (between Accommodation Road and east of Tryshil Cottage): Stonehill Road, Chertsey Road, Windsor Road, Staple Hill, Longcross Road and vice versa; and Phase 3 (between east of Tryshill Cottage and east of Lyne Lane): Stonehill Road, Accommodation Road, Longcross Road and vice versa.

Green Lane (D131) Churt, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Green Lane (D131) Churt, Farnham which extends from its a: junction with Greenhanger (D652) to the northern property boundary line of “Chapters 2a” Green Lane Cottages.

b: junction with Greenhanger (D652) to the western property boundary line of “Tillers Field”. Alternative Route – Churt Road (A287), Hale House Lane (D127), Green Cross Lane (D129) and Green Lane (D131) or the same route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom work, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

The Reeds Road (D110), Tilford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Reeds Road (D110), Tilford which extends from its junction with Tilford Road (C28) to its junction with The Reeds (X11129). Alternative Route – The Reeds Road (D110), Frensham Road (A287), Old Farnham Lane (C122), Great Austins (C122) and Tilford Road (C28) or the same route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

D3237 Station Crescent, Ashford and A244 Windmill Road, Sunbury on Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of:- a) D3237 Station Crescent, Ashford. Alternative Route:- D3236 Avondale Road, D3234 Cumberland Road, D3234 Ashford Crescent, D3236 Salcombe Road and B378 Stanwell Road . 

b) A244 Windmill Road, Sunbury on Thames. Alternative Route:- From the northern end of closure – A308 Staines Road West, A308 Staines Road East, A308 Upper Sunbury Road, A308 Hampton Court Road, A309 Hampton Court Way, A3050 Creek Road, A3050 Bridge Road, A3050 River Bank, A3050 Hurst Road, A3050 Terrace Road, A3050 Bridge Street, A244 Walton Bridge, A244 Walton Bridge Road, A244 Gaston Bridge Road, A244 Upper Halliford By-Pass and A244 Upper Halliford Road. Traffic from the southern end of closure to follow this route in reverse with exception that via A3050 River Bank rather than A3050 Creek Road through Hampton Court one-way system.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out carriageway patching and/or dressing and/or resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

White Rose Lane (D3708) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of White Rose Lane (D3708) Woking which extends from its junction with Rosewood (D3708) to its junction with Cleardown (X5314).

Alternative Route – Old Woking Road (B382), Park Road (D3710), Pembroke Road (D3709), Heathside Road (D3709) and White Rose Lane (D3708).

The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)
Public Footpaths 52 (Send) and 45B (Woking)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020

On 24 June 2020 Surrey County Council made the above temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length and width of Footpaths 52 (Send) and 45B (Woking) for 15 metres where it crosses the River Wey by means of a bridge, from Grid Ref. 501537 155927 to 501519 155927, east of Fishers Farm. Access to properties will not be affected.

The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to the poor state of repair of the bridge.

The closure has been in operation since 26 June 2020 and was due to expire on 25 December 2023. On 6 December 2023 the Secretary of State extended the closure for a 4th time until 25 December 2024, or to when suitable works are undertaken to the bridge or alternative crossing provided, whichever is earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when this notice and appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

The alternative route from the eastern side of the closure at the bridge at Fishers Farm is to proceed in an easterly direction for 92 metres along footpath 52 (Send), then turn in a northerly direction along footpath 52A (Send) for 325 metres, crossing Broadmead Cut and continuing as footpath 45A (Woking) in a northerly direction for 255 metres, then turning north-westerly for 145 metres, then turning in a southerly direction along footpath 44 (Woking), for 655 metres to its junction with footpath 45 (Woking), continuing for 28 metres as footpath 43 (Woking) then turning easterly along footpath 45B for 110 metres to the western side of the bridge and closure. The closure from the western side of the bridge is the reverse of the above.

The Surrey County Council Footpaths 52 (Send) and 45B (Woking) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020 was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
