Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 14th December 2023:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 12th December 2023 made the following temporary traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH 014 MOULSOE AND FOOTPATH 07 NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1879)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit any access to and along the following Footpaths from 10th January 2024 to 10th July 2024.
Footpath 14 Moulsoe and Footpath 07 Newport Pagnell – from its junction with Willen Road to its junction with Caldecotte Lane.
Whilst the above footpaths are closed the alternative route will be via Caldecotte Lane, Footpath 08 Newport Pagnell.
In the interest of public safety and to enable the construction works to be carried out the footpath will remain closed for a period of 6 months.
The Council is satisfied that a temporary closure Order is necessary in the interest of public safety and to enable the construction works to be carried out.
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (V6 GRAFTON STREET H3 TO H4, HEELANDS AND REDWAY BW08 BRADWELL) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1870)
The effect of the Order will be to (temporally close) prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following part of road and pedestrians proceeding along the following length of redway on 02 and 03 January 2024 (between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm):
Grafton Street (V6) H3 to H4 – from its junction with Dansteed Way to its junction with Walgrave Drive.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Monks Way, Saxon Street and Dansteed Way (and vice versa)
Redway BW08 Bradwell – From its junction with Walgrave Drive to its junction with Redway BW07 Bradwell
The Council is satisfied that a temporary closure Order is necessary to enable THREE to install a new telecoms pole & Cab, Rigging, integration and testing within the existing telecoms site.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN STONY STRATFORD, FENNY STRATFORD, WOLVERTON, AND BOW BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1868)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of roads to enable Anglian Water to carry out new connection works and maintenance works:
Augustus Road, Stony Stratford – From its junction with Calverton Road to its junction with number 15 Augustus Road. 23rd January 2024 – 25th January 2024 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Claremont Avenue, Goran Avenue, Milford Avenue, Calverton Road (and vice versa).
Simpson Road, Fenny Stratford – From its junction Bristow Close to its junction with The Sidings. 29th January 2024 – 6th February 2024 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Groveway, Brickhill Street and Watling Street (and vice versa).
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route for HGV’s will be via Staplehall Road and Watling Street (and vice versa).
Windsor Street (Access Road), Wolverton – Behind Number 132 Windsor Street. 8th January 2024 – 10th January 2024 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Western Road, Windsor Street, Furze Way (and vice versa).
Woburn Sands Road, Bow Brickhill – At its junction with Harvey Close. 29th January 2024 – 31st January 2024 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Bletcham Way, Tongwell Street, Groveway, Newport Road, Station Road, Bow Brickhill Road (and vice versa).
Traffic Regulation Order 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HIGH STREET (PART), STONY STRATFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1863)
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles from entering, proceeding, or waiting along that part of High Street, Stony Stratford between its junctions with Church Street, and Wolverton Road.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 1st January 2024 at 8.00am and will continue in operation for a maximum of 3 days or until the completion of the relevant event, whichever shall be the earlier, however it is anticipated that the restrictions will only remain in effect until 2.00pm on 1st January 2024.
The alternative route for traffic will be via Church Street, Silver Street and Horsefair Green (Vice Versa).
The Council is satisfied that a temporary closure Order is necessary for the purpose of facilitating the holding of a relevant event, namely the ‘Vintage Stony 2024’ which is being promoted by Mr. Ray Cobley on behalf of the ‘Vintage Stony’ Group and the Stony Stratford Business Association.
Traffic Regulation Order 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MANIFOLD LANE, SHENLEY BROOK END) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1869)
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road on 02 and 03 January 2024 (between 09:30am to 4:30pm): -
Manifold Lane, Shenley Brook End – From its junction with Wallinger Drive to its junction with Hartdames.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Wallinger Drive, Chaffron Way and Pickering Drive (and vice versa).
Temporary No Waiting at Any Time restrictions will also be introduced on Manifold Lane, between Wallinger Drive and Hartdames on 01 January 2024.
The Council is satisfied that a temporary closure Order is necessary to install a telecoms pole and cabinet.
Traffic Regulation Order 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS AND REDWAY WVO5, WAVENDON GATE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1874)
The following lengths of road will be closed from 02 January to 29 March 2024:
Gregories Drive, Wavendon – From its junction with Bletcham Way to its junction with Gable Thorne
Whilst the following length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Bletcham Way, Tongwell Street and Fyfield Barrow (and vice versa).
Byrd Crescent, Wavendon – From its junction with Gregories Drive to its junction with Ravel Close
Whilst the following length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Bletcham Way, Tongwell Street and Fyfield Barrow (and vice versa).
The following length of redway will be closed from 02 January to 29 March 2024
Redway WV05, Wavendon – From its junction with Gregories Drive to its junction with Ravel Close
Whilst the above length of redway is closed, the alternative route will be via Redway OFP01, Redway OFP02, Redway WV04 and Redway WV06 (and vice versa)
From 09 January to 30 April 2024:
The following length of road will be temporarily restricted for waiting (at any time) from 09 January to 30 April 2024
At the junction of Gregories Drive and Byrd Crescent, Wavendon
The Council is satisfied that a temporary closure Order is necessary to enable preliminary access works to be carried out for a carriageway extension.
Traffic Regulation Order 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHURCH ROAD (PART), BOW BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1881)
The following lengths of road will be closed from on 11 January 2024 (09:30am to 3:30pm): -
Church Road, Bow Brickhill – From its junction with London End Lane to its junction with Drakewell Road.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Longslade Road, Woburn Road, Hardwick Road, The Leys, Bow Brickhill Road and Woburn Sands Roade (and vice versa).
The Council is satisfied that a temporary closure Order is necessary to enable Openreach to undertake works for a new telecoms install.

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 07 December 2023:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council, in exercise of its powers under Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has on 12 December 2023 made the following traffic regulation Orders:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HIGH STREET (B526), STOKE GOLDINGTON) (RESTRICTED ROAD) ORDER 2023
The effect of the above made Order will be to introduce a 30mph speed restriction on High Street in Stoke Goldington (as proposed on 12 October 2023).
The made Order will take effect on 01 January 2024.
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (OAKDOWN CRESCENT, OLNEY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2023
The effect of the above made Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) and two designated parking spaces for blue badge holders only on parts of Oakdown Crescent in Olney (as proposed on 02 November 2023).
The made Order will take effect on 01 January 2024.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (TIMBOLD DRIVE, KENTS HILL) (LOADING ONLY PARKING PLACE) ORDER 2023
The effect of the above made Order will be to introduce a loading only parking place on part of Timbold Drive in Kents Hill as part of the section 278 planning agreement (as proposed on 02 November 2023).
The made Order will take effect on 01 January 2024.
Traffic Regulation Order 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (VARIOUS ROADS, OLNEY) (CONSOLIDATION OF PARKING, WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2014) VARIATION ORDER 2023
The effect of the above made Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along parts of Osier Way in Olney (as proposed on 02 November 2023).
The made Order will take effect on 01 January 2024.
Any person wishing to question the validity of any of the above made Orders or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
