NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A MODIFICATION ORDER

Definitive Map Modification Order 2023

On the 23rd day of November 2023 Lancashire County Council confirmed the above Order.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by recording a footpath from a junction with Back Lane along a compacted stone surfaced track for a distance of 10 metres to where the track splits then continuing in an easterly direction crossing Hall Beck via a concrete slab and then more north easterly direction ascending the hillside along a substantial bounded track for a further 920 metres to the junction with Footpath FP0126012.

The total length of the route is 0.93 km and the width varies between 3m and 9m.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may also be seen free of charge at the offices of Lancaster City Council, and at my offices from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00. The Order took effect on the 23 November 2023, but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order, he may, under Paragraph 11 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from the date of publication of this Notice, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
