What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH CODICOTE 14
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Codicote 14, heading south from junction with Codicote 15 to St Albans Road, for an approximate distance of 165m. Alternative route: via Codicote 15 and St Albans Road. The purpose of the Order is to enable demolition and ulilities works to take place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WILD HILL, ESSENDON) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to
make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length
of Wild Hill, Essendon from a point 100m north west of its junction
with B158 Kentish Lane north westwards for a distance of
approximately 73m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Wildhill, B158 Kentish Lane, A1000
Great North Road, Wildhill Road and Wild Hill.
The Order is needed because water service works are proposed
to be executed on or near the Road.
f the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 January 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified
shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near
the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MILL LANE, WELWYN GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mill Lane, Welwyn Garden City from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.8 Mill Lane south eastwards for a point in line with the southern boundary of No.12 Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 13m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Church Street, High Street, Prospect Place and Mill Lane.
The Order is needed because works to the roof of No.10 Mill Lane are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WILDHILL ROAD, HATFIELD) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of
Wildhill Road, Hatfield from its junction with the access road
leading to 'Brunts Hall' eastwards and westwards for a distance
of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Wildhill Road, A1000 Great North
Road, B158 Kentish Lane, Wildhill and Wildhill Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed
to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on
20 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the
restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated
by signs on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Church Street, High Street, Prospect Place and Mill Lane.
The Order is needed because utility maintenance works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HEATH LANE, CODICOTE) ORDER NO.2 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Heath Lane, Codicote from its junction with Hill Road westwards for a distance of approximately 24m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Heath Lane, B656 (High Street/ London Road), B651 (Whitwell Road/Hitchin Road/High Street/ Horn Hill/Hitchin Road/High Street), Kimpton Road (East), Kimpton Road and Heath Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, HATFIELD) (20 MPH ZONE) (NO.2) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce 20 mph zone in parts of Hatfield as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 18 December 2023.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A1001 COMET WAY, HATFIELD) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of A1001 Comet Way, Hatfield from its junction with Goldsmith Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 110m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via A1001 Comet Way, B6426 (Cavendish Way/Queensway), B197 Wellfield Road and A1001 Comet Way.
The Order is needed because telecommunication upgrade works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STUART ROAD AND WINDSOR CLOSE, WELWYN) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Stuart Road, Welwyn from its junction with Tudor Road south eastwards to its junction with Windsor Road, a distance of approximately 170m.
An alternative route will be via Tudor Road and Windsor Road.
2. that length of Windsor Close, Welwyn from its junction with Windsor Road south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
