What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

SECTION 119 – HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
PUBLIC FOOTPATH R9 (PARTS), WITHIN THE PARISH OF STANON UNDER BARDON AND THE BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2023

The above Order made on 30th November 2023 will divert the section of Public Footpath R9 within the Parish of Stanton Under Bardon and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth as shown by a bold continuous black line on Plan No. 2598 which extends from a point marked ‘A’ on the plan situated at Grid Reference 44645 31007 in a generally east-northeasterly direction for a total distance of approximately 105 metres to the point marked ‘B’ on the plan situated at Grid Reference 44654 31012. 
The section of Public Footpath to be diverted has no recorded width. 
Also, the section of Public Footpath R9 within the Parish of Stanton Under Bardon and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth as shown by a bold continuous black line on Plan No. 2598 which extends from a point marked ‘B’ on the plan as previously described in a generally westnorth-westerly direction for a total distance of approximately 145 metres to the point marked ‘D’ on the plan situated at Grid Reference 44640 31018.A new Public Footpath R9 within the Parish of Stanton Under Bardon and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth shown by a bold black line with dashes on Plan No. 2598, will extend from the point marked ‘A on the plan as previously described in a generally northeasterly direction for a distance of approximately 85 metres to the point marked ‘C’ on the plan situated at Grid Reference 44650 31014.The section of Alternative Public Footpath will have a width of 3 metres. And also, the section of Public Footpath R9 within the Parish of Stanton Under Bardon and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth as shown by a bold continuous black line on Plan No. 2598 which extends from a point marked ‘B’ on the plan as previously described in a generally westnorth-westerly direction for a total distance of approximately 150 metres via the point marked ‘C’ on the plan as previously described to the point marked ‘D’ on the plan as previously described. The section of Alternative Public Footpath will have a width of 2 metres from point ‘B’ to point ‘C’ and a width of 3 metres from point ‘C’ to point ‘D’. A copy of the Order and map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200 Main Building, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicestershire, LE3 8RA and the offices of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley LE10 0FR during office opening hours. A copy has also been sent to Stanton under Bardon Parish Council. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a cost. Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent in writing to me at the undermentioned address quoting reference MP/HTWMT/5598 not later than 11th January 2024. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representation or objection is duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Leicestershire County Council may confirm the Order as unopposed. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation or objection which has not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
