Footpath 26 Wivenhoe (Colchester City) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council on 14 November 2023 confirmed the above-mentioned Order and it took effect on that day.

The effect of the Order is to modify the Definitive Map for the County of Essex by:-Adding a length of public footpath numbered 26 Wivenhoe, from the northern end of Paget Road South, (Point A on the order plan) in a north westerly direction for a distance of 18 metres to Point B at the south of the railway track. The width of this section of the way is 1 metre. From Point B the route heads north over the railway track for a distance of 11 metres to Point C on the order plan. The width of this section of the way is 1.75 metres. The route then heads north-east for a distance of 19 metres to reach Point D at the southern end of Paget Road North. The width of this section is 1 metre. From here the route follows Paget Road North, heading north for a distance of 59 metres to meet Queens Road at point E. The width of this section is of the route is 2.75 metres. The route is subject to such stiles or gates as the railway operator is required to erect and maintain, as stipulated by legislation, from time to time.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at the Chelmsford Library, Market Road, where copies will be available on request at a charge. Copies can also be seen and downloaded from the Essex Highways website Public Path Notices - Essex County Council (essexhighways.org) and have been sent to Colchester City Council.

If any person is aggrieved by this Order and desires to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the powers of section 53 or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 have not been complied with in relation to it, he may within 42 days from the date of publication of this Notice make an application to the High Court under paragraph 12(1) of Schedule 15 to the Act.

Footpath 50 Great Horkesely (Colchester City) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council on 14 November 2023 confirmed the above-mentioned Order and it took effect on that day.

The effect of the Order is to modify the Definitive Map for the County of Essex by:-Adding a length of public footpath numbered 50 Great Horkesley from Brick Kiln Lane at Point A on the order plan in a generally southerly direction for 57 metres then turning south-east for a distance of 12 metres to meet Barnfield Road at Point B. The width of the way varies between 2.4 metres at Brick Kiln Lane reducing to 1.4 metres at the northern curtilage of 8 Barnfield Road.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at the Chelmsford Library, Market Road, where copies will be available on request at a charge. Copies can also be viewed on the Essex Highways website Public Path Notices -Essex County Council (essexhighways.org) and have been sent to Colchester City Council.

(St John's Street, Colchester) (Bus Gate) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To Implement: 'Bus Gate Restriction allowing buses, motorcycles, pedal cycles, taxis, and private hire vehicles (licensed by a local authority) only'.

Road: St John's Street, Colchester

Description: WESTBOUND TRAFFIC: From a point approximately 1.8 metres southeast from the corner of St John's Street and Vineyard Gate, northwest for approximately 7.5 metres.

(Barley Way, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Barley Way, Stanway in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Wheatfield Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th January 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03163021003 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boxted Church Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with Holly Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd January 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010727648 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Holly Lane, Boxted Road, Queens Head Road, Ellis Road, Workhouse Hill, Green Lane, Road from Boxted Church Road to Green Lane and vice versa (with access only into Boxted Church Road).

The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bures Road, West Bergholt) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bures Road, West Bergholt in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Hall Road to its junction with Nayland Road a distance of approximately 280m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th January 2024 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2353796 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Earls Colne Road, Great Tey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Earls Colne Road, Great Tey in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 70m south east of its junction with Lamberts Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th January 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03162848740 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stoptap repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Errington Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Errington Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Butt Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th January 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2354314 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Butt Road, Hamilton Road, Maldon Road, Errington Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Gosbecks Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gosbecks Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Paxman Avenue to its junction with Gosbecks Road Roundabout a distance of approximately 290m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd January 2024 for 2 nights (19:30-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2353240 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Gosbecks Road, Shrub End Road, Shrub End Road Roundabout, Cunobelin Way, Cunobelin Way Roundabout, Cunobelin Way, Gosbecks Road Roundabout and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Greyhound Hill, Langham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Greyhound Hill, Langham in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 410m north east of its junction with School Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th January 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PTMS456572 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole test works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Lower Park Road, Brightlingsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lower Park Road, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th January 2024 for 2 nights (19:30-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2350700 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Maldon Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 140m south west of its junction with Tiptree Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th January 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037SM63010177 - Anglian Water). (Malting Farm Lane, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Malting Farm Lane, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 65m west of its junction with Dedham Road for a distance of approximately 95m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th January 2024 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF4MT63S - Openreach). (Nayland Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nayland Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 50m north west of its junction with Gloriana Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th January 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF5GHC3S01 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Park Road, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Road, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Belle Vue Road to its junction with Bobbits Way a distance of approximately 100m then from its junction with Bobbits Way to its junction with Queens Road a distance of approximately 190m (works to be completed in phases). The closures are scheduled to commence on 18th January 2024 for 35 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001285740 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Belle Vue Road, The Avenue, High Street, Queens Road and vice versa (with access only into Park Road during both phases). The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Parsonage Lane, Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parsonage Lane, Tendring in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 90m east of its junction with The Green for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd January 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30028999791 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Clacton Road, Chapel Lane and vice versa (with access only into Parsonage Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Short Wyre Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Short Wyre Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Queen Street to its junction with Long Wyre Street a distance of approximately 60m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th January 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001294611 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(South Heath Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of South Heath Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Colles Brook Road for a distance of approximately 315m in a south easterly then south westerly direction to the point where the road name changes to Dead Lane. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st February 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2355033 - Essex County Council).
