ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14
THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 60) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in County Durham, to enable gully repair works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Thursday 4 January 2024 for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close the A1(M) southbound entry slip road at Junction 60 (Bradbury); during which times a suitably signed alternative route will be available. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 3 January 2024 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months. The project manager for this scheme is Michael McCormack.
