What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF UPPER LATTIMORE ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Upper Lattimore Road, St Albans from a point 33m north eastwards of its junction with B691 Victoria Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Upper Lattimore Road, B691 Victoria Street, Beaconsfield Road, A1057 Hatfield Road and Upper Lattimore Road.

The Order is needed because gas service repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FIRBANK ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Firbank Road, St Albans from its junction with Valley Road south westwards to its junction with Beech Road, a distance of approximately 250m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Valley Road and Beech Road.

The Order is needed because ducting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OAKWOOD ROAD, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Oakwood Road, Bricket Wood from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.78 Oakwood Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 31m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Oakwood Road, Jordans Way, Ashridge Drive, West Riding and Oakwood Road.

The Order is needed because drainage works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BATCHWOOD DRIVE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Batchwood Drive, St Albans from its junction with Green Lane south westwards to its junction with Becketts Avenue, a distance of approximately 65m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Batchwood Drive, A1081 (Harpenden Road/St Peters Street), A4147 (Catherine St/Folly Lane), A5183 Redbourn Road and Batchwood Drive.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LOWER DAGNALL STREET, ST ALBANS) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lower Dagnall Street, St Albans from its junction with College Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Lower Dagnall Street, A5183 Verulam Road, Hill Street and Lower Dagnall Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4147 CATHERINE STREET AND FISHPOOL STREET, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access: -

1. that length of A4147 Catherine Street, St Albans from its junction with Drovers Way north westwards to its junction with Etna Road, a distance of approximately 170m.

An alternative route will be via A4147 Catherine Street, A1081 (St Peters Street/ Chequer Street), A5183 (High Street/Verulam Road/Folly Lane) and A4147 (Folly Lane/Catherine Street).

2. that length of Fishpool Street, St Albans from its junction with Welclose Street south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Branch Road, a distance of approximately 660m.

An alternative route will be via Welclose Street, Lower Dagnall Street, New England Street, A5183 (Verulam Road/Folly Lane) and Branch Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CELL BARNES LANE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cell Barnes Lane, St Albans from its junction with Grasmere Road south eastwards to its junction with St Vincents Drive, a distance of approximately 60m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Cell Barnes Lane, Camp Road, Drakes Drive and Cell Barnes Lane.

The Order is needed because telecommunication works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN POTTERS CROUCH AND ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access: -

1. that length of Blunts Lane, Potters Crouch from its junction with Chiswell Green Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 830m.

An alternative route will be via Chiswell Green Lane, Furzebushes Lane, Ragged Hall Lane, Potters Crouch Lane, Bedmond Lane, St Albans Lane, Sergehill Lane, Whitehouse Lane and Blunts Lane.

2. that length of Chiswell Green Lane, St Albans from its junction with Blunts Lane north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its westernmost junction with Noke Lane, a distance of approximately 318m.

An alternative route will be via Blunts Lane, Whitehouse Lane, Sergehill Lane, St Albans Lane, Bedmond Lane, Potters Crouch Lane, Ragged Hall Lane, Furzebushes Lane and Chiswell Green Lane.

3. that length of Blunts Lane, Potters Crouch from its junction with Chiswell Green Lane northwards for a distance of approximately 15m.

An alternative route will be via Chiswell Green Lane, Furzebushes Lane, Ragged Hall Lane, Potters Crouch Lane and Blunts Lane.

4. that length of Chiswell Green Lane, St Albans from its westernmost junction with Noke Lane north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 575m.

An alternative route will be via Chiswell Green Lane, Blunts Lane, Bedmond Lane, Ragged Hall Lane, B4630 Watford Road and Chiswell Green Lane.

5. that length of Furzebushes Lane, St Albans from its junction with Chiswell Green Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 35m.

An alternative route will be via Chiswell Green Lane, Blunts Lane, Bedmond Lane, Ragged Hall Lane and Furzebushes Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MOUNT PLEASANT LANE, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mount Pleasant Lane, Bricket Wood from its junction with West Riding south eastwards to its junction with Bucknalls Drive, a distance of approximately 40m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Mount Pleasant Lane, A405 (St Albans Road/ North Orbital Road), Tippendell Lane, Park Street Lane, Lyles Lane and Mount Pleasant Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OAKLANDS LANE, SMALLFORD) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Oaklands Lane, Smallford from its junction with Colney Heath Public Footpath No.004 north westwards to its junction with the Coopers Green Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 1011m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Oaklands Lane, A1057 Hatfield Road, Beechwood Avenue and Sandpit Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
