What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDERS 2023
NORTH BRIDGE, WITHAM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with or without a vehicle from proceeding along:
North Bridge, Witham, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works forming part
of the level 2/3 assessment including material sample taking.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
The Order will take effect on 14th January 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed overnight from midnight to 6am, commencing
14th January 2024 to 22nd January 2024.

HUMBER STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:
Humber Street, from the junction of Queen Street to north of the junction at Blackfriargate, Kingston upon
Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during resurfacing works
on Blackfriargate and High Street junction area.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 8th January 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 5 consecutive nights
between 8pm and 6am, commencing 8th January 2024 to the 12th January 2024.

NEW BRIDGE ROAD (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:
New Bridge Road, from Wynburg Street to Morrill Street, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway repair works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the day.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 24th January 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 1 day.

DE GREY STREET (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:
De Grey Street, outside number 44, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway repair
works to resolve flooding issues.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 15th January 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8.30am on 15th January 2024 to 5pm
on 19th January 2024.

SCALE LANE (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has today made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Scale Lane, outside
Number 30, Bedford Chambers, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during lead pipework renewing
and replacing works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Scale Lane, High Street, Ghandi Way, Alfred Gelder Street
and Lowgate.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 3rd January 2024 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 07.30 on 3rd January 2024 to 19.30
on 5th January 2024.

MOORHOUSE ROAD (PART)/MANOR ROAD (PART)/COVENTRY ROAD (PART)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY SYSTEM)
ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has today made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with or without a vehicle from proceeding along Moorhouse
Road outside numbers 240 and 238, Manor Road outside numbers 82 and 84, Coventry Road outside
numbers 12 and 14. The temporary suspension of the one way system on Moorhouse Road, for the duration
of this Order.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to create a
sustainable drainage system.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
The Order will come into effect 2nd January 2024 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in the following:- Moorhouse Road between
2nd January 2024 to 2nd February 2024; Manor Road between 8th January 2024 to 16th February 2024
and Coventry Road between 7th February 2024 to 15th March 2024.

RISBY GROVE/ROWLEY GROVE/WEIGHTON GROVE & ETTON GROVE AREA
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under
Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted
by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule
9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time parking restrictions (double yellow lines) at
various junctions and other locations in the Risby Grove, Rowley Grove, Weighton Grove & Etton Grove area.
The purpose of the Order is to prevent indiscriminate parking obscuring driver sight lines and causing
problems for moving vehicles.
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make
the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston
upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.

Objections to the proposed Order, stating the grounds for objection should be sent in writing to Legal
Services at Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull HU1 2AA (ref: JGO/39800-
1485) by 1st January 2024.
In submitting an objection it should be noted that the personal data and correspondence relating to any
objection will be placed on file with the Council in order that they can contact you directly to address the
issues raised. If any person does not wish personal data to be retained by the Council, they should state
why when submitting the objection.
