What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (FORDFIELD ROAD, MILLBROOK) (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding a 30mph speed limit along the length of Fordfield Road, Millbrook which extends from outside Fox Covert Farm to Woofstop Ltd, Dog Day Care.
This temporary speed limit is required to safely facilitate roadworks and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
It is expected that the 30mph speed limit will be in operation from Monday 1 January 2024 until the works are complete. The dates of the proposed works will be circulated nearer the time.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (CHURCH END, EVERSHOLT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church End, Eversholt outside Tyrells End Farm. This temporary closure is required to enable electrical connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 3 to 5 January 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Tyrells End, Water End, Witts End, Church End and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 3 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (MOUNT PLEASANT, ASPLEY GUISE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mount Pleasant, Aspley Guise outside number 6. This temporary closure is required to enable new electricity supply works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 5 January 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Bedford Road, School Lane, Turnpike Road, Horsepool Lane, Mount Pleasant and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 4 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (WEST END, HAYNES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of West End, Haynes between London Lane and outside number 112 West End.
This temporary closure is required to enable ditch clearance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 15 December 2023 between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Wilstead Hill (A6).
The Order will come into operation on 11 December 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 15 December 2023 between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Oliver Street, Queens Road, Dukes Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 11 December 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 13 December 2023 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

This temporary closure is required to enable electrical works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 15 December 2023 between the hours of 8pm and 6am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BEDFORD ROAD, SILSOE, BEDFORD ROAD, CLOPHILL, CLOPHILL ROAD, CLOPHILL, AMPTHILL TO MAULDEN BYPASS, AMPTHILL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the lengths of Bedford Road, Silsoe, Bedford Road, Clophill, Clophill Road, Clophill, Ampthill to Maulden Bypass, Ampthill for approximately 250 metres on each leg from the Clophill Roundabout.
This temporary closure is required to enable Clophill Roundabout improvement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 7 December 2023 until the works have been completed. The dates of the proposed works will be circulated nearer the time and advertised on site. The roads will be closed at all times during this period.
