U6512 Footways North Seaton - Temporary Footway Closure

U6512 FOOTWAYS AT NORTH SEATON ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER NUMBER 3 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections of footway in North Seaton Ashington in the County of Northumberland.
U6512 Holmdale Footway from its junction with Green Lane heading southwards for a distance of 100 metres.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 11th December 2023 until the 18th December 2023 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 11th March 2024.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via Green Lane, Holmdale Footway and vice versa.
U6512 Holmdale Footway from its point outside of house number 6 Holmdale heading southwards for a distance of 100 metres.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 11th December 2023 until the 18th December 2023 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 11th March 2024.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via Holmdale Footway.
U6512 Stonecross Footway from its junction with Briardene heading east for a distance of 70 metres. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 12th December 2023 until the 20th December 2023 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 11th March 2024.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via Briardene, Stonecross and vice versa
U6512 Holmdale Stonecross Footway from its point outside of house number 33 Holmdale heading south for a distance of 45 metres.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 13th December 2023 until the 19th December 2023 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 11th March 2024.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via Holmdale Footway, Stonecross Holmdale Footway, Stonecross Footway and vice versa.
The Order is to be effective from the 11th December 2023 until the 11th March 2024

The closure has been requested by Avonline Networks on behalf of Virgin Media to excavate a narrow trench to install micro-duct and subsequent installation of the network in the footpath. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
