What is happening?

(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES)
(AMENDMENT 5) ORDER 2015

1. Notice is hereby given that Wealden District Council proposes to make an Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to amend the Wealden District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2015 (hereinafter called “the 2015 Order”) as amended by the Wealden District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendments 1, 2, 3, 4) Orders 2015.
2. The proposed order is to be known as “the Wealden District Council Off-
Street Parking Places (Amendment 5) Order 2015”.
3. The effect of the proposed Order is as follows:
a) Wording amendments in relation to postal timescales for Excess Charge Notices.
b) Wording amendments in relation to Pay & Display parking due to implementation of Mobile Application (App)/QR Code payments.
c) Wording amendments – 24hr should read 23hr.
d) Woolpack Car Park, Herstmonceux – change car park stay from 23hr to 3hr.
e) Peelings Lane Car Park, Westham – change car park stay from 23hr to 3hr.
f) Implement/increase charging of permits across the district.
g) Increase Excess Charge Notice amounts in line with neighbouring authorities.
4. Details of the proposed Order, maps showing the locations of the parking places referred to in the Order Amendment may be seen at the Wealden District Council Offices, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Fridays (excluding Bank and Public Holidays).

5. If anyone wishes to object to the proposed Order the objection with the grounds for making it should be made in writing to the undersigned quoting
reference CPO2015 – AM5 not later that noon 15 January 2024.
