NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Roxton Road Chawston 168 m South from the Spinney.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate junction improvements for the new A428 dual carriageway . and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 8th January 2024 to 31st July 2025

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Roxton Road, Chawston Lane.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 8th January 2024, for a period of 18 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. This temporary 40 mph speed restriction is required for safety of the public and work force in order to facilitate junction improvements for the new A428 dual carriageway and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, from proceeding along Ridge Road Kempston Rural from the A6 Roundabout The Branston Way to Martell Drive.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway surfacing and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 22:00 to 06:00 hours from 11th January 2024 to 12th January 2024

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSE TO INTRODUCE NEW PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN PARK CRESCENT, ROUSBURY ROAD & PILLINGE ROAD, STEWARTBY

Reason for Proposal:

Bedford Borough Council has received a request from Stewartby Parish Council for new parking restrictions at the Rousbury Road and Pillinge Road junctions with Park Crescent, Stewartby. This is in response to concerns raised over inconsiderate parking at these locations which affects visibility and safety, so these restrictions are intended to remedy that.

Effect of the Proposal:

1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of roads:

The restrictions are deemed necessary to maintain safety for both those attending the Kymbrook Primary School and other highway users in the area.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 30th November 2023 Bedford Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:-

Effect of the Order:

1. To introduce a 20mph speed limit on the entire length of each of the following roads in Swineshead:-

Date of Operation: This Order will come into force on 4th December 2023 or as soon as practicable after this date.
