BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSE TO INTRODUCE NEW PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN PARK CRESCENT, ROUSBURY ROAD & PILLINGE ROAD, STEWARTBY

Reason for Proposal:

Bedford Borough Council has received a request from Stewartby Parish Council for new parking restrictions at the Rousbury Road and Pillinge Road junctions with Park Crescent, Stewartby. This is in response to concerns raised over inconsiderate parking at these locations which affects visibility and safety, so these restrictions are intended to remedy that.

Effect of the Proposal:

1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of roads:

A Park Crescent, Stewartby
(i) On its south-eastern kerb, from its junction with Rousbury Road to a point
approx. 43 metres north-east of the projected centre line of Rousbury Road.
(ii) On its eastern kerb, from its junction with Pillinge Road for a distance of approx.
13 metres in both a northerly and southerly direction
B Rousbury Road, Stewartby
(i) On its north-eastern kerb, from a point approx. 10 metres west of the projected
boundary between nos. 1a & 1b Rousbury Road to its junction with Park Crescent
C Pillinge Road, Stewartby

(i) On its southern kerb, from a point approx. 14.5 metres west of the projected
centre line of St Andrews Road for a distance of approx. 13 metres in a southwesterly direction.
(ii) On its south-eastern kerb, from a point approx. 44.5 metres south-west of the
projected centre line of St Andrews Road for a distance of approx. 17.5 metres
in a south-westerly direction.

2. To revoke existing “No stopping on entrance markings” restrictions on the following length of road:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 30th November 2023 Bedford Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:-

1. To introduce a 20mph speed limit on the entire length of each of the following roads in Swineshead:-
