C136 Hesleyhurst Junction - Temporary Road Closure

C136 HESLEYHURST JUNCTION
TO LONGHORSLEY, LONGHORSLEY
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C136 Hesleyhurst Junction To Longhorsley from its junction with the C135 heading south for a length of 1286 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 18th January 2024 until the 18th July 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 18th January 2024 until the 22nd January 2024 and 19th February 2024 until 1st March 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 18th July 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C135, A697, C136 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for coring, civils and resurfacing work.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
