Little Hammer Lane (D5508) Bramshott Chase Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 6 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to: – (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Little Hammer Lane (D5508) Bramshott Close; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council Little Hammer Lane (D5508) Hindhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas connection works and/or gas works, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 December 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, and the suspension will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicle to these properties will be maintained only up to the excavation works on either side of the closure via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/ or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Alternative Route – Old Bramshott Chase, High Pitfold, Glen Lea, Nutcombe Lane, Hindhead Road (A287), Critchmere Hill, Woolmer Hill Road and Upper Hammer Lane.
Highercoombe Road (D5528) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Highercoombe Road (D5528) Haslemere as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Woodfalls” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Grays Lodge”. Alternative Route: Highercoombe Road, (A286) Grayswood Road, Three Gates Lane, and Highercoombe Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out electricity utility works for, or on behalf of SSEN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Tilford Road (C28) Farnham Temporary Speed Limit Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be; a) to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 10 MPH in that length of Tilford Road (C28) Farnham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Greenhills Rural Enterprise Centre” to its junction with (D111) Grange Road; and, b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Tilford (40MPH Speed Limit) Order 1995 and/or any Speed Limit Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects that length of Tilford Road (C28) Farnham. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow electrical utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of SSEN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 15 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
