M4 Motorway - Prohibition Of Traffic For Associated Works
What is happening?

THE M4 MOTORWAY (LEIGH DELAMERE SERVICE AREA)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) has made an Order on the M4 Motorway in Wiltshire to allow sign replacement and associated works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place over one night (23.59 – 03.00) commencing on or after 12 December 2023.
The effect of the Order will be to authorise the closure of the westbound exit slip road from the M4 to Leigh Delamere Service Area.
During the closures traffic will be diverted to the next available service area.
The closure (which will not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works period and will only apply when traffic management measures are in place.
The Order will come into force on 9 December 2023 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
