Gorsebrook Road - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, temporarily restricting use of the following roads:
• Gorsebrook Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Dunstall Lane and Dunstall Park between the hours of 20:00 and 22:00. Vehicular Diversion Route: Dunstall Road, Stafford Road and vice versa (20:00-22:00).
• The following roads closed with access to residents only between the hours of 14:00 and 22:00. Darley Drive, Dales Close, Viaduct Drive, Carter Road, Glentworth Gardens, Gatis Street, Racecourse Road, Armstrong Drive, Festival Way. • Right hand turn suspended from Stafford Road onto Gorsebrook Road, and right hand turn suspended from Stafford Road to McDonalds, access between the hours of 16:30 and 19:30. Vehicular Diversion Route N/Bound: Stafford Road N/bound, Fiveways Island, Stafford Road S/Bound. Vehicular Diversion Route S/Bound: Stafford Road S/bound, Island at jct Bushbury Lane, Stafford Road N/bound
• No waiting, stopping or loading/no parking restrictions on Gorsebrook Road between its junction with Stafford Road and Dunstall Park, Dunstall Park along its entire length and Dunstall Lane along its entire length, between the hours of 14:00 to 22:00.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the restrictions will operate on 14 December 2023 for the times stipulated. The Order is required to facilitate access to/egress from an event at Dunstall Racecourse.
