What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C453 BELSTEAD ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C453 Belstead Road, Ipswich from Badgers Bank to Brookview to facilitate a water chamber repair. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Ellenbrook Road, Stoke Park Drive and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2023 - 06/12/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer it extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2613 NOTTIDGE ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2613 Nottidge Road, Ipswich from Alexandra Road to no. 32 Nottidge Road to facilitate a new gas connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Alexandra Road, Warwick Road, Spring Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2023 - 08/12/2023 but, if necessary, the order nay remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1061 KEDINGTON ROAD, KEDINGTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1061 Kedington Road, Kedington from 25 metres north of the junction with Coupals Road for 120 metres southbound to facilitate telecommunications pole replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1061, the A143, the B1061 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2023 - 05/12/2023 from 10am. - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2411 LOWES HILL, KELSALE CUM CARLTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2411 Lowes Hill, Kelsale Cum Carlton from the railway structure for 50 metres eastbound and 50 metres westbound to facilitate rail structure repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Lowes Hill, East Green, Theberton Road, Clay Hills Road, Main Road, Bridge Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2023 - 10/12/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1077 LOWGATE STREET, EYE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1077 Lowgate Street, Eye from the junction with Castle Street to the junction with The Rookery to facilitate a water main replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access Will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1120, the A140, the B1117 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2003 – 15/12/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if the extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3310 BENT LANE, RUSHMERE ST ANDREW

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3310 Bent Lane, Rushmere St Andrew from the junction with the A1214 to The Maples to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1214, Playford Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/12/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C704 HIGH ROAD, BUXHALL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C704 High Road, Buxhall from 215 metres west of the junction with the B1115 for 30 metres westbound to facilitate installing a water bore hydrant. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be the B1115, Finborough Road, Lower Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/12/2023 from 8am until 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5611 THE STREET, SOUTHOLT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5611 The Street, Southolt from 570 metres west of the junction with Big Green for 40 metres westbound to facilitate a water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Park Road, Big Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2023 - 07/12/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U2333 LINDEN CLOSE, ALDEBURGH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2333 Linden Close, Aldeburgh to facilitate footway reconstruction works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Linden Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2023 - 31/01/2024 from 8am - 6pm, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4929 RAGS LANE, WOOLPIT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4929 Rags Lane, Woolpit from the junction with The Street for 60 metres south westbound to facilitate repairs to a damaged building. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Drinkstone Road, Broomhill Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2023 – 10/12/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1115 WALDINGFIELD ROAD, CHILTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1115 Waldingfield Road, Chilton from 80 metres northeast of the junction with Church Field Road for 20 metres north eastbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1115, the B1071, the A1141, the A134, the B1115 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 13/12/2023 – 6:30am on 14/12/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSRE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 10 AND FOOTPATH 31, HOLTON AND WENHASTON WITH MELLS HAMLET

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following footpaths:

    • Footpath 10, Holton at the footbridge
    • Footpath 31, Wenhaston with Mells Hamlet at the footbridge

This is for safety reasons due to damaged footbridges. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 14/11/2023.

It is intended that the closure will operate until 13/05/2024 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 8, SYLEHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 8, Syleham at the footbridge for safety reasons due to a damaged footbridge. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 14/11/2023.

It is intended that the closure will operate until 13/05/2024 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
