HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY IN HERTFORDSHIRE (WALKERN 8B) MODIFICATION ORDER 2023

The above Order made on 9th November 2023, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-

Upgrading to restricted byway Walkern Bridleway 8b commencing from Clay End Road (public highway) at TL 3053 2509 then running generally NE for approx 245m to a junction with the Bassus Green road (public highway) at TL 3072 2523.

A copy of the Order and the Order Plan may be seen free of charge at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/rowapps, Front Reception of Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on Monday to Friday and at East Herts District Council, Wallfields, Pegs Lane, Hertford, www.eastherts.gov.uk/. Copies of the Order and Plan may be bought at the price of £5.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Definitive Map Officer, Countryside and Rights of Way Service, CHN103, Environment and Transport Department, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, Hertfordshire SG13 8DN.

Email: row@hertfordshire.gov.uk (ref: EH453) to arrive no later than 17th January 2024 and applicants must include particulars of the grounds on which it is made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Hertfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COMMON VIEW, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Common View, Letchworth Garden City from its easternmost junction with Cromwell Green north eastwards to its junction with North Avenue, a distance of approximately 102m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Common View, Norton Way North, Glebe Road, Green Lane and Common View.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BEDWELL CRESCENT, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of Bedwell Crescent, Stevenage from its junction with Plash Drive northwards to its junction with A1155 Fairlands Way, a distance of approximately 240m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Bedwell Crescent, Cuttys Lane and Silam Road.

The Order is needed because telecommunication works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK/FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NO.142 SHEPHALL VIEW, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles/pedestrians from using the cycle track/footpath situated on the south side of No.142 Shephall View, Stevenage from its junction with Shephall View south westwards for a distance of approximately 54 metres ("the Cycle Track/Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the cycle track/footpath situated on the south side of No.167 Shephall View and the cycle track situated on the north side of Six Hills Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track/Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 December 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track/Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREEN LANE, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Green Lane, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Glebe Road north westwards to its junction with Kristiansand Way, a distance of approximately 86m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Green Lane, Icknield Way, Norton Way North, Norton Road and Green Lane.

The Order is needed because street lighting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NODES DRIVE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Nodes Drive, Stevenage from its easternmost junction with Broadwater Crescent north eastwards for a distance of approximately 75m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Broadwater Crescent and Nodes Drive.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NOS.475-497 LONSDALE ROAD AND THE FOOTWAY SITUATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF NOS.473-475 LONSDALE ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpath") and footway ("the Footway"): -

1. the footpath situated on the south side of Nos. 475-497 Lonsdale Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.475 Lonsdale Road westwards for a distance of approximately 19m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Nos.473-475 Lonsdale Road, Lonsdale Road, the footpath situated on the west side of No.453 Lonsdale Road and the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.475-497 Lonsdale Road or via the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.475-497 Lonsdale Road, Lonsdale Road, the footpath situated on the west side of No.495 Lonsdale Road and footpath situated on the south side of Nos.475-497 Lonsdale Road.

2. the footway situated on the east side of Nos.473-475 Lonsdale Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.475 Lonsdale Road northwards and southwards for a distance of approximately 20m.

An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.475-497 Lonsdale Road, the footpath situated on the west side of No.495 Lonsdale Road, the footway situated on the south side of Lonsdale Road and the footway situated on the east side of Nos.473-475 Lonsdale Road.

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Footpath and Footway.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 December 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath and Footway.
