Old Shoreham Road, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Resurfacing Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - OLD SHOREHAM ROAD, PORTSLADE
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 29 November 2023 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-
(a) The temporary banned right-hand turn from Old Shoreham Road, Portslade onto Romany Close, Portslade, and from Romany Close, Portslade onto Old Shoreham Road, Portslade, whilst lane closures are in place on Old Shoreham Road, Portslade.
(b) The temporary Nighttime Eastbound closure of Old Shoreham Road, Portslade from it's junction with Locks Hill, Portslade to its junction with Hangleton Road, Portslade.
(c) The temporary Nighttime Westbound closure of Old Shoreham Road, Portslade from it's junction with Hangleton Road, Portslade to its junction with Locks Hill, Portslade
These will be done in phases Which will be in effect as and when signed
2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.
4. This Order comes into force on 4 December 2023 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
