Mancunian Way - Road Traffic Regulation to Reduce the Speed Limit to 30mph

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000136546680: The City of Manchester (Mancunian Way, Deansgate, Piccadilly, Hulme and Ardwick Wards) (Temporary 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2023 under s.14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because of the likelihood of danger to the public caused by vehicles travelling in excess of 30mph.
The effect of the order will be to reduce the speed limit to 30mph on the Mancunian Way between Chester Road Roundabout to its Junction with Downing Street in both directions.
The order is due to come into operation on the 14th December 2023 and shall continue in force until the 13th April 2024, provided that if the council determines that the order is no longer necessary in relation to the danger to the public specified above, this order shall cease to have effect at the at the end of that shorter period.
