What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

(CHURCH LANE, WHITCHURCH, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Church Lane which extends from Half Acre Lane north eastwards for 278 metres.
The Order was required because trial hole excavation works to investigate ground conditions are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 4th December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8:00 a.m. on 4th December 2023 and 6:00 p.m. on 8th December 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Half Acre Lane, Whitchurch Lane, Washing Pound Lane, Church Lane (part unaffected) and vice versa

(HAMPTON LANE, COTHAM, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PROHIBITION OF ENTRY FOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Hampton Lane which extends from Aberdeen Road to Cotham Hill; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing prohibition of entry for vehicles proceeding from Cotham Hill into Hampton Lane so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.

The Order was required because new gas service connection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 4th December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8:00 a.m. on 4th December 2023 and 5:00 p.m. on 7th December 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cotham Hill, Hampton Park, Hampton Road, Redland Park, Whiteladies Road, Aberdeen Road and vice versa

(BANNERMAN ROAD, EASTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Bannerman Road which extends from Felix Road to Westbourne Road.
The Order was required because new gas service installation works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 4th December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 9:00 a.m. on 4th December 2023 and 5:00 p.m. on 7th December 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bannerman Road (part unaffected), Graham Road, All Hallows Road, Easton Road, Bannerman Road and vice versa

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 409 (SPARKE EVANS FOOTBRIDGE), BRISLINGTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Public Right of Way 409, incorporating Sparke Evans Footbridge, which extends from Edward Road generally northwards for 222 metres.
The Order was required because bridge repair and structural refurbishment works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and becomes operative from 9th December 2023 for a period of six months (subject to necessary extension).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Public Right of Way 409 (part unaffected), Albert Road, St. Philips Causeway, Bath Road (A4), Edward Road and vice versa

(DOVE LANE, ST. PAULS, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Dove Lane which extends from Newfoundland Road to Wilson Place.
The Order was required because gas mains upgrade works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 11th December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 08:30 a.m. on 11th December 2023 and 4:30 p.m. on 22nd December 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Newfoundland Road, St. Nicholas Road, Grosvenor Road, Wilder Street, Dean Street, Portland Square, St. Paul Street, Wilson Street, Wilson Place and vice versa

(ST. MARTINS ROAD, KNOWLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of St. Martins Road which extends from St. Martins Gardens to Wells Road.
The Order was required because sewer renovation works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 11th December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. daily from 11th December 2023 to 15th December 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Wells Road, Priory Road, St. Martins Road (part unaffected) and vice versa
