What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL
(CATTLE MARKET ROAD, REDCLIFF, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (NO.2) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Cattle Market Road which extends from Temple Gate to Feeder Road; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a generally easterly direction in Cattle Market Road, so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 18th December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 9:30 a.m. on 18th December 2023 and 5:00 p.m. on 22nd December 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Temple Gate, Bath Bridge Roundabout, Bath Road, Totterdown Bridge, Albert Road, Feeder Road
(MORNINGTON ROAD, CLIFTON, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES)
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Mornington Road which extends from Wellington Park north westwards for 22 metres; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered the prohibition of driving in Mornington Road so as to give effect to the alternative route as a consequence of item 1. above.
The Order is required because sewer repair works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 18th December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 18th December 2023 and 22nd December 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Mornington Road (part unaffected), Anglesea Place, Wellington Park and vice versa
(QUAY STREET, CITY CENTRE, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Quay Street which extends from Small Street northwards for 28 metres;
2. to suspend, temporarily and when appropriate signs are covered, the prohibitions of driving in Corn Street, Small Street, St. Nicholas Street and St. Stephens Street; and
3. to suspend, temporarily and when appropriate signs are covered, the one way traffic working in:-
(a) a north easterly direction in Corn Street; and
(b) a north westerly direction in Small Street –
so as to give effect to the alternative routes as a consequence of item 1. above.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 18th December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 18th December 2023 and 3rd January 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
north eastbound – Small Street, Corn Street, St. Nicholas Street, High Street, Wine Street, The Pithay, All Saints Street, Bridewell Street, Rupert Street, Christmas Street, Quay Street (part unaffected)
south westbound – Quay Street (part unaffected), Nelson Street, Fairfax Street, Newgate, Wine Street, High Street, Baldwin Street, St. Stephens Street, Corn Street, Small Street
