What is happening?

THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (DURHAM CITY SOUTH EAST) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2013 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2023

The Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 & 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended the existing restrictions as follows:-

To amend the existing 'Permit Holders Only' restrictions from 'Monday-Saturday. 8am-6pm' to 'All days. 8am-6pm' tor the extent of the following permit holders only zones: a. Zone

B Whinney Hill, The Hallgarth, Church Lane, Stockton Road b. Zone C Elvet Crescent c. Zone IG Illingworth Grove.

To amend the existing 'Permit Holders or Pay & Display' restrictions from 'Monday-Saturday. 8am-6pm' to 'All days. 8am-6pm' for the extent of the following permit holders only zones: a.

Quarryheads Lane (Zone A permit holders only) b. Stockton Road, Oswald Court, Hallgarth Street, Whinney Hill and The Hallgarth (Zone B permit holders only) c. New Elvet and Green Lane (Zone C permit holders only). AII other restrictions locally remain the same.

The effect of this Order also requires an amendment Order to be made to The County Council of Durham (Durham City) (On Street Parking Places - Tariffs & Permits) Order 2014.

Full details of both orders can be examined at Durham Clayport library during normal opening hours or via the Council website. Any person wishing to object to the proposals should send their grounds of objection, in writing, to Sharon Renwick, Legal Assistant, at County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL or by email to Leaal-Hiohwavs@durham.gov.uk (ref: 3861568 SE) by no later than 21/12/2023.
