Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or
proceeding in that length of:- a) A2044 Woodhatch Road, Reigate that extends
from the eastern side of its roundabout junction with C226 Pendleton Road, to the
western side of its junction with D1291 Maple Road. Alternative route:- Clockwise
– C226 Pendleton Road, A23 Brighton Road, A23 Horley Road and A2044
Woodhatch Road. Anti-clockwise – D1291 Maple Road, A23 Horley Road, A23
Brighton Road and C226 Pendleton Road. b). D1295 Tilers Way, Reigate that
extends from its junction with A2044 Woodhatch Road, to its junction with D1295
Coneyberry. Alternative route:- D1295 Tilers Way, D1296 New Causeway, D1296
Vevers Road and A2044 Woodhatch Road. 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council
Various Roads in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead Temporary Prohibition of
Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” insofar as affects A2044 Woodhatch Road, Reigate.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to install a raised
table at the junction of A2044 Woodhatch Road, with D1295 Tilers Way, Reigate
and/or carry out carriageway improvement and/or resurfacing and/or maintenance
works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 3 weeks of the 12 month
period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 December
2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will
only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency
services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained
at all times under direction of operatives on site. Access for residents and
businesses will be maintained under direction of operatives on site. Any vehicle
found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a
suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have
been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
B2033 Tot Hill, Headley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire
length of B2033 Tot Hill, Headley. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT
Openreach to carry out pole testing and/or cabling and/or connection and/or
maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the
hours of 8am and 4:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this
Temporary Order that commences on 15 December 2023. Advanced warning
signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the
relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents,
businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route:- Leech Lane, Mill Way, Reigate Road, By-Pass Road, Dorking
Road, London Road, Mickle By-Pass, London Road, Deepdene Avenue, Reigate
Road, Station Road, Pebble Hill Road, Headley Common Road and Tot Hill.
D2585 Hawkwood Rise, Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or
proceeding in that length of D2585 Hawkwood Rise, Bookham that extends from
its junction with A246 Guildford Road, to the southern side of its junction with
D2585 Hawkwood Dell. 2. “The County Council of Surrey (Various Roads in
Effingham) (Weight Restriction) Order 1983” shall be suspended insofar as imposes
the 7.5 Tonne environmental weight restriction in The Street, Effingham. This
Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks/I&G Contractors Limited
to carry out gas mains replacement and/or connection and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and
4:30pm (Monday - Friday), within 12 days of the 12 month period of operation of
this Temporary Order that commences on 11 December 2023. Advanced warning
signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension, which are
anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the
relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted
cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency
vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the
alternative route:- Lower Road, The Street and Guildford Road.
Old Reigate Road (D309) Betchworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering
or proceeding in that length of; (a) Old Reigate Road (D309) Betchworth as extends
from its junction with (A25) Reigate Road to its junction with (C57) Station Road
and; (b) Suspend The Surrey County Council D309 Old Reigate Road Betchworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (A25)
Reigate Road and (C57) Station Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required
to facilitate installation and maintenance telecom works for, or on behalf of BT
Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 days, between
the hours of 09.30am and 3.30pm within 12-month period of operation of this
Temporary Order that commences on 11 December 2023. Advanced warning signs
will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant
traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road,
including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be
maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Rectory Lane (B278) Woodmansterne
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding
in that length of Rectory Lane (B278) Woodmansterne as extends from its junction
with (B2032) Outwood Lane to its junction with (D1075) Manor Way. Alternative
Route: (B2032) Outwood Lane, Chipstead Way, Woodmansterne Street, and (B278)
Rectory Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate
underground network and gully works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These
works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am
and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that
commences on 13 December 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed,
and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are
displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access
by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times,
as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Broadbridge Lane (D356) Smallfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the
effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that
length of Broadbridge Lane (D356) Smallfield which extends between its junction
with the access road leading to “Lower Broadbridge Farm” and the southern
property boundary of “Broadmead Farm House”. Alternative Route – Wheelers
Lane (D361), Redehall Road (C67) and Broadbridge Lane (D356).
The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is
anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during
the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 December
2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will
only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians
and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and
residents will be maintained within the closure.
Wellhouse Lane (D308) Brockham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or
proceeding in that length of Wellhouse Lane (D308) Brockham which extends
from the western property boundary of “Rose Cottage” to the eastern property
boundary of “Spiders Barn”; and (b) suspend “Surrey County council Old Reigate
Road (D309) Betchworth and Wellhouse Lane (D308) Brockham Temporary
Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it relates to Wellhouse Lane only.
Alternative Route – Snowerhill Road (C57), Gadbrook Road (D306) and Middle
Street (C54) or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow Southeast Water to carry out water works which is
anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:30am and 5pm, during the
12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 December
2023. However, the closure is anticipated to be in place for 24 hours per day.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and
suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are
displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists, equestrians and residents will be
maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained via the
signed diversion route.
Various Roads in Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023
On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in
the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required
to facilitate highways improvements and/or maintenance works including but not
limited to: carriageway/footway patching and/or carriageway/footway surface
dressing and/or carriageway/footway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance
works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be
carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the
18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on
13 December 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary
closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle
found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a
suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have
been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians
and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for
emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for
residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary,
via the diversion routes. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to
premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will
apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

Linkfield Street (D1265) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 27 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles
from entering or proceeding in that length of Linkfield Street (D1265) Redhill
which extends from its junction with Grovehill Road to its junction with Ridgeway.
This Order is required to because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a
wall in danger of collapsing. The Order, which commenced on 28 November 2023,
will continue in force the provisions introduced by “Surrey County Council
Linkfield Street, Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2023” issued under
Section 14(2) of the Act on 7 November 2023, for a further 12 month period.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is
anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the
relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted
cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the likelihood of danger to the public
and other traffic using the road, access for emergency vehicles, residents and
businesses will be maintained via the signed diversion route. The Council are
satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular
access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within
the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order
to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the
likelihood of any such danger arising.
Blanks Lane (C61) Newdigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of
which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of
Blanks Lane (C61) Newdigate. Alternative Route: Partridge Lane, Broad Lane,
Clayhill Road, Newdigate Road, Bunce Common Road, Tapners Road, Smalls Hill
Road, Norwood Hill Road, and Stan Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is
required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of Sunbelt
Rentals. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 5 days between the
hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will
commence on 08 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the
temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will
only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians
and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the
works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and
all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the
signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Lee Green Lane (D315) Headley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of
which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lee
Green Lane (D315) Headley as extends from its junction with (C55) Clay Lane to
its junction with (X15131) Cunliffe Close. Alternative Route: Lee Green Lane, Tilley
Lane, and Clay Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate
mobile crane works by or, on behalf of Coussens Cranes. These works are
anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the
12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 January
2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will
only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians
and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the
works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and
all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the
signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Various Roads in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will
be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:- a) That length of D334

will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of
D1212 Merrywood Park, Reigate. This Traffic Order is required to enable Sutton
and East Surrey Water to lay water mains and/or carry out connection and/or
maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the
hours of 8am and 5pm, within 2 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this
Temporary Order that commences on 19 January 2024. Advanced warning signs
will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for
24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access to affected residences and businesses, including access for emergency
services to such properties will be maintained at all times by means of road

D460 Woodcock Hill, Felbridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which
will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D460
Woodcock Hill, Felbridge that extends from its junction with A22 Woodcock Hill, to
the southern side of its junction with Heather Way. This Traffic Order is required to
enable ALS Civil to make a new electrical connection and/or to carry out cabling
and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out
between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of
operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is
anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the
relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents,
businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order
under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of
which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length
of C84 Beadles Lane, Oxted. Alternative route – Hall Hill, Tanhurst Road, Woodhurst
Lane, East Hill, West Hill, Oxted High Street, Beadles Lane. 2. Suspend “The Surrey
County Council C84 Beadles Lane and C84 High Street, Oxted Temporary Prohibition
of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as affects C84 Beadles Lane, Oxted. This Traffic Order
is required to enable UK Power Networks to make a new customer connection
and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works in C84 Beadles Lane, Oxted
between D422 St Clair Close and Neb Lane. These works are anticipated to be
carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 5 days of the 6 month
period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 January 2024.

operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 01 January 2024.

anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the
relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and,
dismounted cyclists and equestrians at all times. No sole access will be affected
however access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be

C65 Honeycrock Lane, Salfords Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which
will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C65
Honeycrock Lane, Salfords. This Traffic Order is required to enable Cappagh
Contractors to carry out remedial works to the highway and/or maintenance
works in C65 Honeycrock Lane, Salfords between the south-western property
boundary of “No.41 Honeycrock Lane” and the south-eastern property boundary
of “No.45 Honeycrock Lane”. These works are anticipated to be carried out
between the hours of 7am and 5pm, within 6 days of the 12 month period of
operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only
operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and
dismounted, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for

Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of
which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of
roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order, which will commence on
12 January 2024 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being
or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or
on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: carriageway/
footway patching and/or carriageway/ footway surface dressing and/or
carriageway/ footway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance works.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only
operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be
obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits
of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and
