What is happening?

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(NEWINGTON PARISH) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that on 27 November 2023 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 4 December introduces a 20mph speed limit

throughout Newington replacing the 30mph speed limit in the process as follows:

1. A329 Thame Road - from a point 156 metres northwest of its junction with Holcome Lane, southwards for a distance of 702 metres,

2. Holcombe Lane - from its junction with A329, north­eastwards for distance of 211 metres.

(NUNEHAM COURTENAY) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that on 27 November 2023 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 4 December introduces a 20mph speed limit within Nuneham Courtenay, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety on A4074 Oxford to Reading Road, from a point 79 metres southeast of its junction with Baldon Lane, north-westwards for a distance of 652 metres. The Oxfordshire County Council (Restricted Roads) (Nuneham Courtenay) Order 1999 is revoked/replaced. (THAME AND VARIOUS PARISHES) (SPEED LIMITS) (NO.2) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that on 27 November 2023 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 4 December introduces a 20mph speed limit throughout Towersey replacing the majority of the 30mph speed limit - leading outwards to the following points:

1. Chinnor Road - a point 555 metres southwest of Thame Road/Manor Road,

2. Manor Road - a point 445 metres southeast of Chinnor Road/Church Lane,

3. Thame Road - a point 145 metres northwest of Windmill Road,

4. Windmill Road - a point 367 metres north of its junction with Thame Road.

Part of the existing 30mph speed limit will remain on Thame Road heading westwards from the village, with Officers having taken the current road environment & traffic usage into account.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Thame and Various Parishes) (Speed Limits) Order 2023 is revoked/replaced. Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting: https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk
