ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, ROTHERHAM) (SPEED LIMITS & SPEED DERESTRICTION) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2004 (AMENDMENT NO. 75) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 29th. November 2023 which comes into effect on the 4th. December 2023. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 3rd. August 2023. The Order shall impose changes to the speed limit affecting the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

In relation to Schedule No.2 thereto, Speed Restricted Roads 20mph there were inserted the following items:-

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in any way, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) COLLEGE PARK CLOSE MOORGATE ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of College Park Close from Wednesday  6th. December until Friday 22nd. December 2023.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF CARR LANE THRYBERGH ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Carr Lane from its junction with A630 Doncaster Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly direction from Monday 11th. December until Wednesday 13th. December 2023.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Doncaster Road, Kilnhurst Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Gas valve maintenance).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF ROTHERWAY CANKLOW ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Rotherway, northbound only towards Rotherham, from the J33/M1 roundabout to the A630 West Bawtry Road roundabout from 8pm on Sunday 10th. December until 6am on Monday 11th. December and from 8pm on Sunday 17th. December until 6am on Monday  18th. December 2023.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Europa Link, Shepcote Lane, A631 M1 J34 South Roundabout, Sheffield Road, Centenary Way, Canklow Roundabout and West Bawtry Road.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Works for new service area).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) A6021 BROOM ROAD BROOM ROAD SERVICE ROAD BROOM GROVE BROOM TERRACE TREHERNE ROAD BROOM FRASER ROAD BROOM VALLEY AND BOSWELL STREET BROOM ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the seven parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Friday  8th. December until Friday 15th. December 2023 between 8am and 8pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Wellgate, Hollowgate, Moorgate Road, East Bawtry Road, Worry Goose Island Roundabout, Herringthorpe Valley Road, Stag Roundabout, Wickersley Road, Broom Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Resurfacing of A6021 Broom Road).

SCHEDULE

(i)    A6021 Broom Road from its junction with Clifton Lane roundabout to a point approximately 50m north west of the north eastern kerb line Fraser Road.

(ii)   Broom Road service road at its junction with A6021 Broom Road.

(iii)   Broom Grove at its junction with A6021 Broom Road.

(iv)   Broom Terrace at its junction with A6021 Broom Road. (v) T reherne Road at its junction with A6021 Broom Road.

(vi)   Fraser Road at its junction with A6021 Broom Road.

(vii)  Boswell Road at its junction with A6021 Broom Road.
