What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

(PART OF COMMON ROAD, SOUTH CAVE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Common Road, South Cave between “Mount View” and “Codd Hall”. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed carriageway patching works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between 4 December 2023 and 5 December 2023. 

The alternative route for traffc affected by the Order is via Millbeck Bank, Ings Lane, South Cave, Ellerker Road, Broomfeet, Main Street, Carr Lane, Common Lane and the remainder of Common Road and vice versa. The road will be open at all times to pedestrians, residents and for emergency services. 

The Order will commence 4 December 2023 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
