What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD

(A330 STATION HILL (PART), ASCOT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2023

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has made an Order, the effect of which will be to:

Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of the A330 Station Hill, Ascot 20 metres either side of the Railway Bridge.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via A330 Station Hill, A329 High Street, A332 Kings Ride, A332 Swinley Road, A322 Bracknell Road, A30 London Road, A330 Devenish Road and A330 Brockenurst Road.

The purpose of the Order is to facilitate works in the said road, namely Railway Bridge inspection and as a result there will be the likelihood of danger to the public. The Order shall be in operation from 21:00 hours on Thursday 23 November until 06:00 hours on Friday 24 November 2023. This may be cited as the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (A330 Station Hill (part), Ascot) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving) Order 2023 which shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or such other periods as may be agreed, to allow for further necessary bridge inspections, repairs and maintenance at such times when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
