(Bury Lane, Wick) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Bury Lane which extends from London Road to Horsepool Lane.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon fibre cable installation works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 5 December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between the hours if 9.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: Bury Lane (parts unaffected), High Street, Ham Lane, Rock Road, Naishcombe Hill, High Street and vice versa
(Shaymoor Lane, Pilning) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Shaymoor Lane which extends from a point 700m north east of Station Road north eastwards for 50m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with bridge inspection works. The order became operative from 5 December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between the hours of 9pm and 5am. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Station Road which extends from Gipsy Patch Lane to Clay Lane.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge sign installation works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 4 December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Station Road which extends from a point 240m north east of Shaymoor Lane north eastwards for 75m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge inspection works. The order became operative from 4 December 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between the hours of 9pm and 5am. (Brook Road, Kingswood) (Prohibition of Driving Restricted Hours) Order 202(-) Details of the proposed changes
NOTICE is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council proposes to make an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle entering, proceeding or waiting in that length of Brook Road, Kingswood which extends from its junction with Tenniscourt Road for 272m, during the restricted hours. Exemptions are contained in the order for vehicles to be used for building, industrial or demolition operations; the removal of any obstruction to traffic; the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the road; the laying, erection, alteration or repair in, or in land adjacent to the road of any sewer, or of any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of gas, water or electricity or any telecommunication apparatus; in the service of a local authority, for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes in exercise of official duties and for the purpose of gaining access to premises accessible only from that length of road.
