Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) ymhen nid llai na saith niwrnod ar ôl
dyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn a fydd
dros dro yn cyflwyno’r cyfyngiad a nodir yn yr atodlen isod. Mae
angen y Gorchymyn i ganiatáu mynediad diogel er mwyn adnewyddu
polion lamp ac mae er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd. Daw’r Gorchymyn
i rym ar 13/12/2023 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am ddeunaw mis
ar y mwyaf neu nes bod y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, p’un bynnag a
ddaw yn gyntaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn cael ei
wneud rhwng 08:00 o’r gloch a 17:00 o’r gloch rhwng 13/12/2023 a
15/12/2023. Atodlen - Ni chaiff neb beri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd ar hyd
Merthyr Mawr Road, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr. Effeithir ar 200 metr o
ffordd o gyffordd yr A48 hyd at gyffordd Rhodfa Bowham. Y llwybr
amgen i gerbydau yw ar hyd Merthyr Mawr Road, A48, B4265, A473,
Merthyr Mawr Road ac i’r gwrthwyneb. Bydd mynediad ar gael
drwy’r cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu a’r Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans yn
ymateb i argyfyngau. Bydd mynediad i gerddwyr i bob eiddo o fewn
y cyfyngiad yn dal ar gael ar hyd llwybrau diffiniedig drwy gydol y
cyfnod cau. Er hynny, ni fydd y cyfyngiad yn gymwys ond ar yr adegau
ac i’r graddau a nodir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a
ragnodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(MERTHYR MAWR ROAD, BRIDGEND) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER
2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway
Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not
less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which
will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule
below. The Order is necessary to allow safe access for lamp post
renewal and is in the interest of public safety.
The Order will come into force on the 13/12/2023 and will continue
in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the
works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated the
planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 08:00 and
17:00 from the 13/12/2023 to 15/12/2023. Schedule - No person shall
cause any vehicle to proceed along Merthyr Mawr Road, Bridgend.
There is 200 meters of road affected from junction of A48 to junction
of Bowham Avenue. The alternative route for vehicles is via Merthyr
Mawr Road, A48, B4265, A473, Merthyr Mawr Road and vice versa.
Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and
Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access
to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along
defined routes throughout the period of the closure. The restrictions
shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from
time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic
Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. Dated: 28/11/2023
