SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD/FOOTWAY CLOSURES
Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make following orders:
(STR000754 CHERRY ORCHARD, HIGHWORTH)
This Order is being introduced for SSE works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Cherry Orchard outside No's 50 and 51. Alternative Route - via Orange Close. The Order comes into the force on the 22 January 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 22 to 24 January 2024.(STR000756 CHURCH WALK SOUTH, SWINDON)
This Order is being introduced for Vodaphone works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Church Walk South adjacent to Property No. 1. Alternative Route - via Blair Parade. The Order comes into the force on the 26 January 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place on 26 January 2024.(STR000751 GORE FARM LANE, LUSHILL)
This Order is being introduced for SSE works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Gore Farm Lane outside Lushill Farm. Alternative Route - via School Lane and Church Way. The Order comes into the force on the 8 January 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 8 to 17 January 2024.(STR000751 FARNSBY STREET, SWINDON)
This Order is being introduced for TELECOM works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Farsnby Street at the junction with Commercial Road and Milton Road. Alternative Route - via Faringdon Road, Westcott Place, Kingshill Road, Bath Road, Eastcott Road, Eastcott Hill, Crombey Street and Curtis Street. The Order comes into the force on the 11 January 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place on the 11, 12 and overnight 22 January 2024 only.(STR000728 OXON PLACE, BISHOPSTONE) This Order is being introduced for carriageway works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Oxon Place. Access to be maintained. The Order comes into the force on the 11 December 2023 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 11 and 12 December 2023.
(STR000727 SPRING GARDENS, SWINDON)
This Order is being introduced to allow works to Spring Gardens Car Park and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding on the footways adjacent to the car park on Spring Gardens and Spring Close and a suspension of the limited waiting bays on Spring Gardens as indicated by signs. Pedestrians to use adjacent footway. The Order will come into force on the 15 January 2024 for 18 months but it is anticipated the restrictions will only be in place from the 15 January to 15 March 2024.Strategic Transport
